Car description

Thank you for viewing my auction for this absolutely beautiful

2-owner 1989 XJ-S Jaguar V-12 with 57k ORIGINAL miles.

Due to error in listing I had to end auction one day after listing and re-list. Sorry for any inconvenience!

I am listing this at NO RESERVE because that is how an auction should be.

High bidder wins!

It is 1 of 100 'Rouge' models.

This special edition was adorned by a red trim package.

The flawless Signal Red paint was accompanied by Magnolia leather with red piping.

The body moulding and rim centers were also outfitted in red.

The XJ-S has become even more sought after recently as collectors realize how mechanically complex and advanced an engine like the Jaguar V-12 is.

Furthermore the future for Jaguar after 2020 are said to be all electric.

The best year for an XJ-S in my opinion is 1989.

It was a time when the management and employees had put in an extra degree of attention to the manufacturing ahead of the Ford takeover.

1989 modelyearalso had the best steering wheel before the bulbous airbag model was introduced in 1990.

This has been my daily-driver.

There is absolutely NO RUST.

The undercarriage looks outstanding.

I am friends with previous owner which is also an older jag enthusiast. He comes over and I taunt him with it whenever he shows envy.

Within the last 500 miles the following services have been done:

New tires

New plugs

New wires

New rotor

New Marelli distributor cap

Fresh coolant

New 82* thermostats

New lower temp fan switch (shuts off later to avoid heat soak after shutdown)

Re-cored radiator with brazed drain plug with silicone hose with drain shut off to make replacing coolant a breeze in the future.

All four belts replaced with NEW

New battery 2019

Fan shroud removed and powder coated in signal red with new rubber exhaust flaps.

Powder coated cross brace supports and AC drier brackets.

20w50 oil and filter change

Fresh transmission fluid

A/C Condenser removed and cleaned

NEW Black engine fan

New fan clutch

New hood struts

Previous owner had serviced the fuel hoses on the rail and inboard rear brakes during his possession approx four years ago.

Ski slope had been refinished with no cracks present looks lovely.

Original spare tire and special edition red rim

Original tool kit included in the wilton wool wrap

NO FUEL SMELL (common on these cars)

The car is extremely clean and straight. Doesn't appear to have any dings.

The front seats have small cracks in them which is very common with the light colored Magnolia trim. Still very presentable for a 30 year old car.

The headliner is near perfect.

Carpets excellent there aren't any stainsand willlikely appear new with a cleaning.

Headlamps, turn indicators, wipers all function as they should.

Transmission shifts perfect.

Since all the tires are new and balanced it drives straight and solid. Such a comfortable long distance cruiser. The perfect grand tourer.

A/C works and was converted to R134a but has intermittent fan blower which I believe may be dirty contacts in the delanair module.

Fly in and drive it home. I will pick you up at the airport (TPA) Tampa, Florida

Reason for selling is to make room for new projects.

I enjoy working on them as much as driving them!

You are welcome to come view and inspect car before end of auction.

I have and had many Jaguars over the years including the E type, 420, S, XK8, XKR, XJ6, XJR, and the XJ-S still remains as my favorite.
