Car description

Up for sale is a '69 Jaguar XKE. It has the 4.2 engine and a manual transmission. Overall a very good candidate for a restoration. This car has been in storage since the very early 1980s. It does still have the original build plate (however, its rough) and I have a copy of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. Body The body on this one looks pretty solid. The floors and trunk look pretty nice. The hood is solid as are the doors. I believe work was done many years ago on the two rear wheel openings. The inner structure has some rust, so I assume they only fixed the outer wheel house. The story that I was told when I purchased it, was the car went in for a repaint. The windows were taken out and the chrome was taken off. The car was painted black. Before the car could be put back together, the building with the windows and most of the trim burnt down. This is why the car went into storage for the last 35 years. The glass and some of the trim is missing. The body tag under the windshield corresponds with the build plate. There is no number on the passenger side front shock mount. It may have been replaced at some point or the factory missed stamping it. Engine The engine looks mostly complete. The engine number matches what is on the build plate. I have not opened up the engine, but I believe it is a good place to start. It has been sitting for 35 years, so I would advise checking it out. The transmission has not been checked. It does go into gear and the car rolls extremely well. I have not verified the numbers on the transmission. Interior The interior is missing the front seats and the doors have been taken apart. The dash and componets look to have never been out. Car will need to be trailered. It rolls well and will load easily on a trailer or transport. I have a title. Car is sold as is. I have many more pictures available. If you want something specific, please ask. If you have anymore questions, please ask. I can store the car for a couple of weeks for no charge. I will sell to overseas buyers, but shipping, customs, etc. is your responsibility. $1000 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours. No Paypal on this transacton. Cash in person on pickup or bank to bank wire transfer.
