Car description

This Cranberry 1986 Jaguar was purchased 2.5 years ago from Tennessee by the current owner. When it was purchased it had been involved in an engine fire. The engine and transmission were removed and the engine and transmission were completely resealed. This included cleaning, painting, and general detailing of many of the components. The fuel rail had all new rubber lines installed. With the engine removed, the engine bay was also detailed and many additional rubber items were replaced. The brake reservoir was replaced as it was damaged. The drivetrain was then reinstalled and the car delivered.

Over the next couple years, several repairs have been enacted, including a new fuel pump, new radiator, a GM alternator in place of the smog pump, most A/C lines and the compressor have been replaced, a new headliner and windshield were installed. The HVAC system inside the car was also removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled with new vacuum lines, heater core, heater valve, and amplifier unit. The A/C blows about 40degrees at the center face vent. The heat also works very well. New tires were also installed. She has also had the fuel changeover valves, the LH fuel tank, steering rack boots, rear rotors and pads, and oil cooler hoses replaced. She has the original radio and the antenna unit has been replaced with new. All in all, receipts totaling around $12,000 for the last couple years can be provided.

While no records prior to the current owner purchasing the car are available, it is evident that this car was someone’s pride and joy, as she has had new woodwork in the console and new front seat skins in the correct shade of Magnolia installed prior to purchase. It is obvious that she was garaged, as the wood on the dash is in very good condition and the dash top has only one minor crack. The rear seat leathers look new and are believed original. The interior is magnolia with cinnamon carpets.

There are a few defects- she is nearly rust free showing only a bubble in a dime sized spot on the sunroof and some bubbling on the right rear quarter panel. It is believed that she is a southern car. There is a spot on the LH front of the bonnet (behind the headlight) where the paint is bubbled possibly from the heat of the engine fire.It is unknown if the paint is original. The door locks are also inoperative and someone has added a key to the trunk near the tag. There are some water stains on the headliner from previous leaks in the sunroof. The cruise control is also inoperative.

She currently has just over 106k miles which are believed genuine.
