Jaguar 1962 Series I, 3.8 E-type Roadster

Hilltop Auto stock #186 is our latest addition which just came in over the weekend. It is a 1962, .8 liter, eries I, -type roadster and it is a matching number car. The car was built in January of 1962. We believe the car was originally red with a black interior. There are a lot of very early things on the car of which we haven taken photos of. I.e. the rear end has a the bigger drive shafts, he butler lights used for the license plate, he chrome on the top of the doors, he dash top and the vents are different from the later cars and there are many more little things. The engine had been rebuilt years ago and it still does turn freely. The car will need some sill work done near the battery. The floors are in good shape. This XKE is mostly complete, ome small items are the only thing we can see that are missing. This restoration project is a great investment, he Series I,3.8 liter E-types are always going up in price. We have a Jaguar Heritage Certificate that we have ordered and we are waiting for it to arrive. The car steers & rolls so it can be transported easily.
