Car description

In 1972 while driving by a cardealership in Monterey California we noticed this gorgeous Jaguar on the lot and it was "Love at First Sight". We purchased it and have been babying it for the last 43 years. This Jaguar has been in California all of its life and only driven in nice weather.

This 1969 JaguarXKE 4.2 Litre has had two owners, e being the second. We purchasedthe Jaguarwhen it had 2,800 miles on it. It has always been garagedand is mostly original. It has 54,790 original miles with matching numbers. In 2003 theinteriorwas restored to its original condition withthe seats, ashand center consolere-upholstered in black leather, he carpet and floor matswere replaced anda new convertible top and oak liner were installed. The boot cover was also redone. We also had a Panasonic AM/FM radio with CD player installed for those long trips. The mahogany steering whee, anel and gauges (the clock does not work, ossibly just need a battery) areoriginal. The interior is in excellent condition. The car is offered with it's original owner's operating handbook and jack. We have ordered the trunk's boot kit from XK's Unlimited, ut it has been backordered since April 2015. We are still waiting for it.

The Jaguar's exterior is in great condition for a forty-five year old car. The car was repainted in 1985 matching the original Sable Brown color. The chrome is in excellent condition and is offered with it's original E-type chrome and blackrims, lso in great shape. The car has Michelin, hite wall tires with less than 500 miles on them. The spare tire is also Michelin with a matching rim.

The original engine runs great.Angelo's Classic Import Service in our area has done the standard oil changes and tune ups on the Jaguar. We have not had to do any major work on the engine, t has always ran beautifully. We recently took a 300 mile road trip withthe car purring like always.

Like all cars of this age there are some minor issues, few very small chips in the paint, runk sticks a little, tc. But how often are you going to find such a jewel of a Jaguar offered for sale by it's almost (2,800 mile) original owner who has taken care of this car like it was a baby.

Sale of this vehicle is final. Car is sold "AS IS" with " NO WARRANTY, XPRESSED, RITTEN OR IMPLIED".

Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping.

Please feel free to post questions and I will answer them promptly.

The Jaguar had a tune-up in 2001 to fix any upcoming problems. We have only put 1,349 miles on it since then. At the time of the tune-up we had the interior redone. We have always taken it out monthly for adrive around the block to keep everything working properly and as mentioned above we did take a 300 mile mountain road trip and the Jag ran perfectly. We took the car in today, ugust 3, 015, or an oil-change and routine inspection and it passed with flying colors.
