This vehicle will be sold!! Talk about an absolutely amazing International Harvester Travelall in incredible condition located in Eden Utah!! The VIN number is shorter due to the age of the vehicle so it doesn't pull information based upon the VIN. CALIFORNIA VEHICLE with nothing to hide. I have included over 80 photos in different locations and lighting and a detailed description to include everything I can to assist the future owner of this Classic Wagon! My goal is your complete satisfaction! Typically my buyers admit that it is even better than I said in the listing. See my feedback rating on Ebay. I am very particular about what I sell and make every effort to provide full disclosure. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions: Reid Chapman 435-773-1985. I have to say that this Travelall is a head-turner!! Everywhere I go people are cranking their heads to get a closer look. It is a conversation piece and in exceptional condition considering that it is 42 years old!! My son is always calling me to come pick up him and his friends in it from school(See Photo). It is the perfect camping vehicle or a vehicle to tow your fishing boat to the lake. The motor has tons of torque and really pulls strong. The transmission shifts smoothly and just absolutely purrs! NADA BLUE BOOK SHOWS THIS 1972 TRAVELALL WITH A LOW BLUE BOOK OF $3. 75 and a HIGH BLUE BOOK OF $16. 00!! This vehicle will sale regardless of the final bid!! The blue book is just a guide but it is nice to know that you can bid with confidence knowing that it has some value! The previous owners owned it for 20 years and it was used to take their yearly vacations to Jackson Hole to see the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. Otherwise. it was driven from time to time just to make sure it was running and to keep all of the seals and gaskets lubricated. This thing is like a time capsule!! Every time someone who grew up in the 1970s gets into this thing and goes for a ride they just have a permagrin and start remembering their childhood! If you have a memory of your Dad or Grandpa owning one of these I would love to hear about it!! This Travelall just feels nostalgic!! If you are a Parent or Grandparent looking to make some memories. this is the right vehicle!! These were made for making memories! I can honestly say that I have been fighting the urge to jump in it and head off to Jackson Hole with my family just so we could make some memories in it! Incidentally. from Salt Lake City to Jackson Hole is only 300 miles so this family most likely only put a few thousand miles a year on it! The odometer and speedometer are not working. However. my impression is that this vehicle has extremely low miles for the year. My best guess is that it has averaged less than 3. 00 miles per year which is amazing! It most likely just needs a new cable. One nice thing is that the owners kept impeccable service records and there is a folder literally bursting at the seams with past receipts for work that has been done!! (See photos) The receipts date all the way back to the 80s so there is a really solid history here! I can tell you that I have sold many cars and this vehicle just doesn't look like it has been abused! The previous owners recognized it for what it is and have babied it and used it to make memories! There is even a sheet in the stack of receipts where one of the previous owners is tracking miles per gallon empty and while towing. He says that with a trailer behind it he was getting 8-10 mpg and without the trailer he was getting 12-15 mpg! By the way. this vehicle has the 4 barrel motor and it really screams!! Accelerates like a beast! I believe it has a 3 speed transmission and it just really gets up and goes! The interior is really immaculate for the year. The vinyl is a 7 out of 10 for the most part. There is a small part on the driver's side passenger rear door where the seat is a little torn apart but it isn't noticeable except when getting in and out. There are some additional small tears in the vinyl but nothing major. The front windshield does have a crack and some small stars but nothing that would prevent it from passing a safety inspection. All the other windows roll up and down and are in excellent condition! The dash board is exceptionally clean. The only area where I have noticed anything on the dash is where the speaker is. It has fallen down inside. However. the piece is intact and I believe with a little bit of work it could be lifted out and be put back in place and look about 95%. As it is it doesn't look bad. The carpet is in great condition. May need some spot shampooing but nothing major. Rear cargo area is covered by carpet pieces but it is in exceptional condition. It has some very minor surface rust but nothing that is even close to breaking through. All floor pans are intact with no rusting through that I have seen. Tires are in excellent condition and look to me to have less than 2. 00 miles on them. They have deep tread and show absolutely no signs of cracking or weathering. Air conditioner is currently inoperable but the compressor is free turning and intact. May just need some minor parts and a charge. The heater works great and I have used it in the last week. AM Radio works well and is kind of fun. The motor runs beautifully with no smoke coming from the tail pipe. It starts right up and accelerates very nicely. It is a 4 barrel carburetor so it sounds very throaty and like a muscle car. There are a few small oil leaks but I honestly haven't seen any real spotting on my driveway so they are not major. It has a recent new battery so it is good to go there. The Travelall has two gas tanks. The one in the rear holds around 20 gallons. The front one holds about 10 gallons but it does have the tendency to leak a little bit when full. We typically try to keep approximately 5-6 gallons in it for emergencies. A couple of things I wanted to mention: it feels like it may have a loose motor mount. Nothing major but I do feel just a little bit of movement from time to time when I accelerate. Also. the gas pedal is a little stiff up to a point so you have to be careful not to push too hard and accelerate too fast. There are several small areas of rust but nothing that I would call major(See Photos). A couple of the air vent inserts are missing some slats and the overhead lights are missing their covers and need bulbs. The wood on the sides is something I would replace as a part of a restoration but it looks pretty good as it is. Body overall is in great condition. I believe I have included photos of all rust on the body of the vehicle. There is a "Brake Failure" light that stays on but the brakes work great with no problems. There is a trick to resetting that in the system but my mechanic is out of town and will not be back until after the auction. The tires on this vehicle are near new FALKEN LANDAIR H/Ts that are in near new condition. The tread is very deep and they should have at least 30. 00 to 40. 00 more miles on them! The vehicle tracks straight with no pulling to one side or the other. All of the tires feel solid and well balanced. No bouncing of the steering wheel or seats when out on the freeway. This vehicle is ready to go to the highest bidder!! This is a NO RESERVE auction! The highest bidder is required to make a down payment within 2 business days and full payment within 7 days. Small rust spot on driver's side rear support. Rear window rolls down manually and the tailgate folds down. Plenty of room to sleep you and your travel partner in the back and be awakened by the beautiful cool crisp morning air. Body is straight!Small rust spot around windshield. Tires are knee deep in rubber! Lots of adventure miles left in them!Local neighborhood kids absolutely love riding in the Travelall. Notice how many kids it is hauling!!Door panel looks good!Notice minimal surface rust in the bed of the Travelall! This area is covered by carpet that someone has placed in there to protect the bed. Small piece of vinyl/foam torn out of the side of the seat. Headliner damage toward the back of the vehicle. Someone tried to haul too much camping gear!!Small tear in the vinyl. Nothing major!See the radio speaker area that has dropped down. I believe it wouldn't be too hard to extract the dash part and reinforce it underneath and put it back in place and it wouldn't even be noticable. This photos shows the Brake Failure light that needs to be reset.
