Car description

1962 international scout 4x4 Convertible

------------No reserve -- No reserve -- No reserve --

You are bidding to win this car!!!!

There is no "buy it now" pric, please don't ask! It takes time, money, and effort to post an ad on ebay. You are bidding to OWN the truck! Please, only bid if you plan on closing the deal!

ALL other Scouts on Ebay right now have a high reserve price or a ridiculously high "buy it now" price. Not this one. If you are the highest bidder you own the Truck.

Be the only one in your city to own a rare classic like this. Everyone looks at this car everywhere I take it. hardly anyone even knows what it is.This is truly one of a kind 1962 International scout 80 Let's face it. Nobody wants to see ANOTHER Jeep, I promise you NO ONE will be driving a truck like this one. This truck has the original 152 engine original manual transmission with the cool dual stick transfer case. This Scout was produced in 1962 and was only the second year the scout was ever made and has the fold down windshield. That was 57 years ago, Imagine how few of these are still around and still driving on the road. Have you ever seen one at a stoplight?

I have had this car for a little over a year and the clear Texas Title is in my name. All the gears work on the transmission and the transfer case. Truck is the highly desirable 4x4. Hi and low gears work along with the locking hubs. The Odometer is showing 12563 miles. I could not tell you if they are original miles.

This car starts easily. runs, drives and stops with great response and pep for a 57 year old scout. The Interior has brand new bucket seat covers in front professionally installed by an upholsterer .

This is a CONVERTIBLE TRUCK !! The steel half-cab top comes off MUCH easier than a full top seen on most scouts and is much lighter. I can take it off by myself in about 10 minutes without a lift.

This car could be a great daily driver. All the lights work, turn signals marker lights, license plate light, brake lights, bright and dim headlights lights all work. Oil pressure light and alternator light all work and shut off when the car is started indicating both are working properly. The engine temp gauge works as well and so does the horn.

Here is the list of parts.

This is not a show car, it has some imperfections in the paint, possible blemishes, dings and may need final tuning to get it to the way you like it. The car is almost 60 years old it will not drive, or look like a new Honda. I have driven it about 10 miles down the street and to the gas station several times to test things out. People are always asking me about it and it is super fun to be in the driver's seat with the top off and the wind in your hair. The $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction and full payment is due within one week. I accept Paypal for the deposit. Please do not ask questions that are answered in the ad.

DO NOT BID unless you fully intend to buy it.

DO NOT BID if you don't have the wife's/husband's permission.

You CAN bid with confidence. I have sold vehicles with Ebay and have a 100% seller rating over the past 14 years. buyer pays all shipping costs and any costs associated with Paypal.

Good luck bidding!!
