Car description

This is a very low mileage and original 1967 Scout with the very desirable 266 cu in V8 and 4-speed transmission. Just 14,147 original miles!! Not much has been done to it since it was new 50 years ago. It was originally sold on May 18,1967. I have the Line Setting Ticket, original Warranty Card and Owners Manual.

This Scout spent it's life on a ranch in Colorado; hence it was not driven on salty roads and is almost 100% rust free. The only two areas of rust that I can find are shown in the last two pictures. There is a little on the passenger quarter panel, plus a spot on a brace under the floor pan. The floor pans are solid. There is some surface rust on the top of them inside of the cab, but still the factory paint on the underneath side and in the rear wheel wells.

This Scout has the Lock Out Hubs on the 4 wheel drive.

I drove this Scout a few times after I bought it and it ran great. The only issue was that it was stuck in low range, so I never drove it over 15-20mph or so. I never got around to fixing it. It ran great when I parked it two years ago. However when I went to start it last year, I was not getting gas to the engine. So it needs either a carburetor kit or a fuel pump. It pops right off if you prime it through the carburetor, but then runs out of gas. I did this last week to insure it runs okay.

Someone put a different passenger door on this Scout. My understanding is that there was a big dent in this door and they simply replaced it with another one.

As you can see, the interior needs to be redone, but it does have the rear seat. There is a console in it, but I do not know if it is factory. The material is correct.

It appears that the top has never been removed over all of these years.

The windshield has a crack.
