Car description

This sale is for a 1986 Honda Civic. I purchased this from the family of the original owner. It was a friends mom. She purchased it new. She was 56 years old when she bought it in 1986. Her first new car. Buying a Honda in a small Southern Ohio town wasn't the norm. The family had to make a special trip 50 miles away. The story is "mom" had saved her money and for the first time had independence. She went to Andy's Honda in Portsmouth Ohio with her son and purchased the car you see.
It is a base Civic with a 4 speed manual transmission. She drove it to town once a week. It was parked in the garage the rest of the time. In later years mom passed and about three years the little Honda was put outside.
It's current condition will run and stop but I wouldn't consider it a driver. It will need a mechanical service of the brakes and fuel system. Maybe more. For instance. The Atlas tires on it were installed in 1998. Have all receipts for parts and service. It was decided one of the sons would take it back to the North Carolina where he lived. He titled it there but the car stayed in Ohio never to leave.
In 2012 A clutch ki, seals, trans oil, clutch cable and carb rebuild was done. Please review the stack of paperwork. He had planned to drive it back but his family/job got in the way.
The car has rust bubbles showing in front of the rear wheel. It was re painted in the 1990's. from mainly paint fade. The interior will benefit from cleaning and new upholstery. The rubber strip not shown on the car is included.
Very hard to find a vintage Civic with less the 250K miles let alone 80K. I had planned to restore however life style changes forces the sale. See my other listing for my MR2. Same issue with that.
Selling as is and as seen. I do not have a buy it now although may consider an offer if you cannot wait till the sale ends. Tell me what you will pay. I do not accept paypal. I require a $500 deposit sent within 48 hours of sale ending. Payment in full within 7 days. Selling as is and as seen.
