Car description |
---|
It's possible this is the best preserved 1987 Honda Civic Wagon in existence. Owned and driven by the proverbial Grandma, ometimes less than 1000 miles a year, his car was put into storage in 2005, nd is now revealed 11 years later. The odometer reads 42,557 miles. This car looks exactly like what you would expect for a car with 42K miles. It's not perfect, ut it's beautiful for a car this age, s the photos show. There are a couple of minor dents, nd a bit of rust on right side wheel wells - the unfortunate reality of driving on New England roads with snow, alt and sand. Not a single crack or split on the dashboard!
It's been my daily driver for the last two weeks. Upon finding this vehicle, immediately had a timing belt replacement performed by the Honda dealer. This '87 Civic wagon has a 1.5 L interference engine, eaning that if the timing belt broke, he engine would have been ruined, ith valves hitting pistons. Honda always replaces the water pump and other accessory belts at the same time, hich was of course done.
The car also required a new set of tires on the front, can of dry gas in the tank, nd a battery, o make it drivable. It's registered, nsured, nd has a current Commonwealth of Massachusetts inspection sticker. Unfortunately,I have too many cars to keep this beauty.
Come on all you Honda buffs, ere's a once in a lifetime chance to pick up a rare find. Reserve is set at $4900.00
