Car description

1986 1/2 ton GMC Regular Cab long bed Truck, wned since 2005. Drove down to FL from MA in 2007 with a full UHaul trailer behind it. Truck empty weight is about 4020 lb.Clean FL title.Started life as a 305 three speed column. Now has a mildly build 350 and SM465 4spd that I swapped in. Still has stock 10 bolt 3.08 rear. I built it to be a strong truck motor, o it has a ton of bottom end power. It idles great at 20" vacuum because of the short cam, ecent compression, lus the cam is advanced to about 103 degrees ICL. Cranking comp is about 210 psi, o it's a premium fuel motor. The truck has power steering, nd that's about it. No AC, anual brakes, rank windows. I've collected and added a bunch of interior and exterior trim parts (better than base model) over the years, lus added a carpet and a glued in headliner. Still has original bronze seat, o that doesn't match the other black and charcoal parts I added.About 15k miles on the motor. Have most if not all of the receipts for the build.Last engine picture on the listing was right before install. Last three pics show how far I tore it down during the first rebuild, nd how it looked back in 2007 before time took it's toll.Body has new metal, ondo, iberglass and rust depending where you look. Drivers front fender and door are aftermarket replacements by me. Pass side is GM. I recently welded a rocker onto the pass side, nd patched up the floor on the drivers side because it was getting bad, nd I don't like seeing the road when the doors are closed. I can build motors, ut I'm not a welder or body guy, o this is not a pro repair. Bed is good and mostly solid but ugly. The old bed platform was rotted bad from the start, ut I worked with it until it got scary. The replacement has some surface rust, crapes, ents, nd a some rust at the bottom of the front panel, nd the drivers rear stake pocket. This is a heck of a old school SBC street motor that would fly in just about anything. My driveway is too full and I barely use it, o it's time for it to go.This is also for sale locally, o the listing will end early if it sells. Local pickup only. Still has tags and insurance, o it can be driven and tested. Gearbox is L - 1 - 2 - 3Traction is a huge problem in 1, ut not in 2. The speedo and fuel gauge are 79 vintage, o you get a 100 mph gauge plus an unleaded fuel only gas gauge.Front end alignment has never been great, o it's tough on the outside of the tires. The tires are old, nd need to be replaced - 235/75R15 on it now.Stock GM 15 inch wheels with hub caps. And more that I am forgetting.
