Car description

Up for auction is by far one of the nicest survivor 1972 GMC short bed C1500 trucks you will ever find with 77K original miles. Original paint, original interior, original drivetrain and original body panels with no rust ever. Fully documented with Warranty protection booklet with Protect-o-plate, glovebox SPID sticker, build sheet still un-removed in original location under carpet and seat track, door sticker with VIN and VIN plate with original rosette rivets. Purchased from original family whom purchased new and lifetime California truck until 5 years ago when they relocated for employment and has always been stored indoors out of elements since new. All original drivetrain which runs and drives fantastic and completely stock with exception of Edelbrock intake, carburetor, HEI ignition, valve covers, air cleaner and exhaust headers with larger diameter dual exhaust which sounds amazing. I do have the correct stock intake manifold, carburetor, distributor, air cleaner, valve covers and exhaust manifolds which will be included with the sale if you care to put it back completely stock. Was professionally lowered with drop spindles and new front coil and rear leaf springs to give it an awesome stance fitted with 20" Eagle Alloy wheels and low profile tires with approximately 500 miles on them. Is also pictured with the original wheels with hubcaps and tires off my other 1972 GMC SWB for illustration only and they are NOT included. It is the Sierra trim option and optioned with factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
Body & Paint: Completely original paint on all original body panels which still shows very well and has no rust now or ever. Variation of paint finish on doors to fenders is from long term storage where cab was covered and hood and fenders were exposed to sunlight and per original family has never had any paint work. There isn't even any cracking on seam sealer along roof drip rails since has always been stored indoors and out of the elements in dry California climate. The paint is thin in some areas on hood and fenders and has an original patina people pay a fortune to get and this one is completely original! The body is very straight. The trim has various dings but completely original. Grill and bumpers are nice. Originally had a steel bumper on back which wrapped around sides and bolted to lower bedsides behind rear wheels where a single bolt hole is on each side. Nothing has been done to inside of bed either and is very nice. Had a camper shell on it most of time and has bolt holes on top of bed rails where mounted. Very clean untouched undercarriage.
Drivetrain: The drivetrain is completely original including 350 V8 motor, automatic transmission and all function fantastic. The 350 V8 runs awesome with tons of power and sounds amazing through the headers and larger diameter dual exhaust. The automatic transmission functions flawlessly. Does not leak any fluids on floor which is amazing for any vehicle this vintage. Has factory R-12 air conditioning with new hoses etc and fully intact which engages but freon needs to be topped off. The power steering and power brakes make it handle with ease. Whether cruising around town or down the interstate it performs awesome. I do have the correct stock intake manifold, carburetor, distributor, air cleaner, valve covers and exhaust manifolds which will be included with the sale if you care to put it back completely stock.
Interior: MINT completely original interior. Only item in interior not original is steering wheel which has been replaced with correct reproduction since original one is cracked but included with sale. The interior is completely original and as close to perfect as you will ever find. Original seat upholstery, carpet, dash pad, headliner, seat belts etc. all MINT. Since has Sierra trim includes wood trimmed door panels. All gauges and lights work. Check out that original build sheet beneath original carpet which has never been removed! The driver's side seat belt retractor does not work and stays extended.
Wheels and tires: Has 20" Eagle Ally rims with low profile tires all around with only approximately 500 miles on them which give a great stance along with lowered suspension.
