Car description

For sale: Rare 1959 GMC 150 NAPCO 4x4 survivor from the arid west - never seen salt. I bought this truck last year from the 2nd owner with a restoration in mind, but I've since stumbled on a low mile original in excellent condition, so this one is up for grabs. A true ranch truck, it was bought new and lived life out on the range with the prickly pear cactus and sagebrush. Complete, original, solid platform for a restoration. Hasn't run for several years, but does whirl over on the starter - will need fuel and brake work for sure. Has some of the typical Task Force rust in a few spots, but it's very fixable. Nothing like the sitting-at-the-bottom-of-the-lake rot you see so often on the trucks from back east. I believe this to be a factory-built NAPCO as it has the higher GVW, the riveted transfer case mounts, and the factory t-case shifter hole. Complete with NAPCO and 59 GMC manuals. I'll do my best to describe it below, please read the entire ad and see linked Photobucket album and YouTube videos.
Exterior: Original paint wearing a nice patina - character dents and dings included. Rancher swapped on better doors and tailgate off another truck. Has a couple of rust spots in cab, one in corner above window on passenger side where mouse nest held moisture. There is a repair panel readily available for this area now. Also some holes in passenger doorwell and small areas at very lower edge of cab dropoffs. Underside looks great - see linked Photobucket album for more detail pics including undercarriage. The park lights are the original units, what's missing is the filler panel behind them. Wood in box and bed strips need to be replaced, and there is a spot of rust where debris held moisture at front of box on driver side behind spare tire. Grille is bent as shown, and hood latch is missing. Overall decent solid truck, much better than I've seen here on Ebay in a long time.

Interior: Complete, presentable driver condition with new seat upholstery. Floors are solid with only surface rust as shown. See Photobucket album below and YouTube video. Gauges are pretty faded and windshield and driver door glass are cracked. Original radio is missing, but I'm including a period Chevrolet radio and speakers.
Mechanical: Complete original truck, looks to be the factory 270 six. I hooked up a jump pak and ignition key switch works, dash generator light comes on, and engine turns over on starter. I bought all new ignition/tune up stuff and that will be included with the truck. Will need fuel and brake work for sure. This is a PROJECT truck and does not run or stop. Should run with minimal effort. Original NAPCO branded front end, original transfer case and drivelines, all the hard to find stuff is there. 16" lock ring wheels are the correct GM stamped rims.

Pricing/Misc: If you've looked at NAPCO trucks, you know prices are high and it's getting harder to find one under $10k in any condition. Few were made, and even fewer are being found now. This auction is NO RESERVE. Title is clear and in my name, buyer will need to get insurance upon purchase as I will cancel mine. Truck can stay here for 30 days, after that $100/month storage will be due. Reasonable transport is available, and I will help load the truck on a transport. Be sure to specify that the truck is non-op when getting a shipping quote. License plates shown are not included but I have other old plates I can include.

LINK TO ADDITIONAL PICS INCLUDING UNDERSIDE (copy and paste) - just ask if you need more. Photobucket is clunky, just close the popups and if you have trouble viewing pics try the Firefox browser. I'm currently looking for a better photo hosting site.
