Car description

I never was a huge fan of this generation on GM/Chevrolet pickup. I was driving down a county road and I noticed this truck, and admired the patina. Next I noticed that it was sitting on Cutlas wheels. I pulled over, knocked on the door and found that the owner had cut the front stub (at the firewall) of the pickup and replaced it with an Oldsmobile Cutlas front end. This gave the truck modern front suspension, disc brakes and power steering. Next he took the 10 Bolt rearend, and the Power Brakes from the Olds and put them on the truck. Anyways, I was hooked. We negotiated a price and I went and got my trailer. We started out with a GM crate 350 and a Howell TBI Fuel Injection system. Then we to work on the roof. It was cut 6” in the back and 7” in the front. Next was designing and building the six link rearend and airbag set up. I chose to use a Kilby Enterprises York Air Compressor to run the bags. It has a custom air tank mounted between the frame rails and a custom fuel cell mounted in the bed. Gauges were kept simple with only a oil pressure and temp gauge in the dash. No other gauges. The doors are suicide and do open the wrong way, which in my opinion is the right way. The truck is fast and runs and drives like a car. Goes down the highway at 100mph if you like. Brakes stop straight and strong and TH350 3-speed tranny (rebuilt) shifts crisp and strong. This is an extremely tough built truck, not a cheaply built “rat rod”. No expense was spared and was built by a professional shop to my exact specifications. There is a windshield and rear window but no side windows or corner windows. The interior is a small bench seat that fits perfectly and is professionally upholstered in a orange, red and yellow Mexican blanket.
Honestly, I could go on forever about this truck as it’s my baby and has been a part of my collection for 11 years. If you have any questions or requests for more photos or video, do not hesitate to call or text. This truck has nothing to hide and is amazing. The truck was fitted with ramps to be a Harley Hauler last year, and I can load a Bagger by myself. You will not be disappointed...it’s that good.
