Car description

Up for auction I have a 1968 J code (302 4V) automatic . ower steering with A/C coupe. If you have been looking for a nice father and son project or just a decent 68 Coupe that's not all rusted out then you have found it. History; I bought this car from a friend of a friend that is a professional bodyman. He lost his garage and had to sell the car. He had the car for several years during which time he disassembled the car. replaced both quarters (with full quarters). installed a new trunk lid and cleaned up the underside of the back of the car (removed grime and painted it black). Body: the body of this car is in very nice condition. Nice roof. new trunk. new quarters. all frame rails and torque boxes are nice. and the original doors look good. fenders are nice and the hood looks decent also. The Cowl looks fine also. Both front floor boards were replaced along with the battery tray apron . As I said above the underside was cleaned up from the rear body panel to about the underside of the rear seat. The only thing left to do on the underside is clean the frt floor boards then seam seal the floors on the underside and thats about it. Trunk pans look great . This car was cut-in the correct red and is ready to reassemble. Exterior is painted in Epoxy black. All the dash stuff. chrome etc is in the trunk. Wiring harness's are also in the trunk. Bumpers are with the car. All glass is included. The doors are still complete. quarter windows and tracks are in the trunk. I reinstalled the frt and back glass using new weather strips. This car will need all the wearible stuff i. e. carpet. gaskets. ash pad. tc. Interior. The interior is red. frt seats are nice but the back seats are history. The dash parts are in the trunk. There are no seatbelts but I believe everything else is there. There is a new headliner in the car. Drivetrain. the car came with a disassembled motor (no intake or carb). The trans (C4) is included along wth the drive shaft. Pretty much looks like everything is here. I'm not sure if it's the original motor. There is a 8" rear in the car. Suspension is complete and the car rolls freely. Figure you will need to rebuild or replace the complete drivetrain. Car has a set of original chrome 14" rally wheels. Car documents and vin info: This car has a Texas title . the correct door data plate in still on the door. buck tag is still in the engine bay. car vin is stamped in the left frt apron . There is no dash vin . It maybe in one of the boxes but I didnt see it when I looked quickly. Previous owner didnt remember it having one. This car would be a great car to make a California Special from or build it back to its original glory. Call me if you have questions 540-538-6302
