Be confident your intent to buy will be met by me. the owner. courteously. Thanks. /p> Doug Williams 702-353-7500 Before you send me that awful question. "what's your reserve or bottom line". let's take a moment to explain the book value below and how to get a deal on eBay. Book values from the Kelly Blue Book and NADA Guide and other sources online are not fictitious figures or double reality as most low bidders would hope for. They are actual figures produced from transactions all over the country on similar vehicles. In other words. they are quite accurate. Over 28 years in the business. dealers like myself. buy and sell according to theses researched values. I always enjoy those who bid figures that are well below book values. it's somewhat entertaining. but it never gets them the vehicles they dream for; especially when those vehicles are in top level condition like ours. We are here to sell cars. With twelve years exclusively on eBay and perfect feedback. it's obvious we do. How? Well. that's easy too. Real buyers with serious offers in mind call us. They almost always want to talk to the person in charge; that's me. I want to talk to you too and help you own this awesome vehicle. It keeps me in business. So. if you want a fantastic vehicle like you see here. one that is far above the average in condition. serviced and documented like this. simply call. Asking through email for my bottom line? Well. I just think you're not too serious or willing to make an offer; makes it a waste of my time and yours. If you just want to know what the market value is. do what we do. look at Kelly Blue Book and NADA Guide and other online sources. Does that mean we always hope to get exactly book value. above or below? That's a loaded question. Depends on the rarity. miles and condition. Most important though. since you "are" a serious and capable buyer. call me and let's talk. I don't wear a Plaid Coat. I don't talk really fast and I am the guy in charge. the owner. enthusiast and purveyor of some of the finest cars on the internet. not to mention the best thorough presentations. Let's make a deal. Call me Doug 702-353-7500 1965 Ford Mustang C-Code Coupe VIN: 5R07C168045 Showing on Odometer: 80. 97 (exempt) Engine: 289 2-Barrel V8 Transmission: C4-Automatic Exterior: Silver Blue (Originally Honey Gold) Interior: Black (Originally Lt. Solid. rust free and all the original panels and floors that it came from the factory with. But that is only a little bit of the story. Let's go a bit deeper. A local resident called me up a few months back and explained that they were needing to sell their classic Mustang before they had to move back east to take a new job offer. I am never excited about Coupes. mostly just because a good majority of them are hammered. cut up and far from original. When I showed up at home to see this one. to my surprise. I found myself starring at a very original car. The exterior paint color and interior had been changed. but aside from that. this car was stock and original. From top to bottom I could see that the car still possessed all of it's original metal. fenders and floors. The original engine and transmission. still with the car and it just looked like a fantastic candidate to take to the next level of restoration. So the plan came into play. refurbish and restore this car to the next level. That level you ask? Well. in this business. you can completely dismantle and restore every nut bolt and washer and take a car back to a level that meets or exceeds exactly how a car left the factory; or in other words. a Full Concours Restoration which will set any shop back two years and exceed six figures in today's rates. That car will usually end up in a museum and rarely if ever driven. Or you can refurbish and restore from top to bottom with a high quality restoration that produces a car that can be driven every day. show up and enter into local shows and be at the peak of it's competitors and spend a great deal less than six figures in the process. I have had both kinds of Mustangs and personally. I love the ones I don't get more grey hairs driving around town. This car sparkles and shows like a Concours to the average person that appreciates classic cars. and really. isn't that the majority of people out there? Well this restored Coupe will not just fit the bill for quality. but it won't break your retirement either. No) New Styled Steel Chrome Wheels We first took care of the basics by removing and rebuilding the stout 289. sprucing it up with valve covers and a air cleaner. We put it back in the car with all new accessories. belts. radiator hoses. heater hoses and a fully addressed the entire suspension. brakes and driveline seals. A lot of trouble and expense for a car that drove pretty well to begin with . . . we just wanted it to drive and fell like brand new. and it does. While the transmission was out we had it disassembled and rebuilt. made sure all seals front to rear on the car were without leaks. The rear end too was taken apart and rebuilt along with new U-bolts and leaf spring & eye bolts. We thought about ditching the drums and installing disc brakes but the car stops perfectly like it did when new. Keeping the originality was super important but we just could not go back to Harvest Gold and a Tan interior. this combination just looked too good. The paint was done just a few years ago and still looks like new but there are just a couple chips. all of which are not really noticeable unless you're bent over starring at them. The paint finish and quality is too good to take back to the original gold. Original exhaust. perfect stance. straight lines front to rear and a never wrecked original body. what more could a serious collector hope for? Well. I guess they could just hope to own this great piece of history before the market gets to high and we start to see the numbers like Fastbacks and Convertibles are getting. That is the huge advantage to the Coupe right now. Our Fastbacks this nice fetch $45000 to $65000 and our Convertibles can go north of that even. Having seen so many of our Mustangs over the years go out of the United States and to foreign lands. there's no question in my mind that the Coupe are going to see those same figures in the not too distant future. Come on America. keep you Pony car here. Like everything else about this incredible car. we just had to finish it off with the beautiful full chrome styled steel wheels. It had the hub caps but this car is just too showy not to have chrome sparkle. This is what a high end restoration looks like without having to put it into a museum. We began with a very nice car. Making it even better so everything felt and looked like new was the goal. We hope that your goal is to own this gem and be proud to show it off at your local car show too. With a semi custom part pony interior. the Pony seats. the console and the molded speaker kick panels. everything you see in there is new and beautiful. This is where a lot of restorations cut corners. lose interest or simply run out of money. Incredible all new interior doesn't just look terrific; everything in here is brand new or functions like new and feels like quality . . . New upholstery. new foam. carpet. door panels. armrests. dash pad. headliner. seatbelts and floor mats and rubber seals. . . feels like. looks like and is new. It doesn't stop with the interior either. It appears as new here too. Fully Rebuilt 289 Cubic Inch 2-Barrel V8 Engine 200 horsepower @ 4. 00/282 ft-lb torque @ 3. 00 RPM (stock) This newly rebuilt engine is noticeably more powerful than stock . . . A person about to spend big on a Mustang; this is what they want to see underneath . . . perfection. this is where most Mustangs part from the "cheap junk" to the highend restoration. Lots of Mustangs look okay from up top. Very few have an undercarriage restored to this level . . . VIN Decode: 5R07C168045 model year 5 1965 assembly plant R San Jose. I am a “used car dealer” but before that. I’m an automobile enthusiast. I love original rare and high quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve been in business. have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand. high value vehicles. I specialize in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners. I have an experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore. built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer. Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you. the bidder. that this is an above average. exceptional vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me. it probably won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of business. With just four employees and no sales people. I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may at first glance appear. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often. an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner and Chris. owner of A-Best Auto Repair in Henderson. Nevada has my back. He and his crew can fix anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute most expensive exotic you can name. no job is too big and no small detail unimportant. They do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes their methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price. but a happy customer that says good things about me. Moreover; it allows my writer to describe the car with ease and confidence. something that simply is not possible unless he thinks it is true. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell. my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction. After the vehicle is fully sorted it arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious eye of Tom. my writer that creates the presentations you see on eBay. He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else tells him about the car as he combs over every inch. researches its history and documents originality and authenticity. Historical significance. rarity. special features. possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150 high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed views of the interior. under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so meticulously clean. This reconditioning can sometimes take several days and I’ve converted a paint booth. especially prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each car lovingly receives. Usually. I’ll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it’s a fast car. we film it going fast. If it’s a 4x4 you’ll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust. working sound system and watch the temperature fall on a digital. laser thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent. How many “dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty? We do. No “dealer. on-line or in the real world. takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you. the buyer. with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away. unable to touch or feel their purchase. that my vehicle is for real and what I say is the truth. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it. If you have any questions at all. please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is sincere and your offer serious. you’ll find me the most accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with. If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation. Until you are ready to actually pull the trigger. I will happily quote you the absolute highest nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a number we both know will not buy the car so. don’t waste your time. or mine. I am after all. a “used car dealer. ” Serious buyers know the maximum they can offer. I then must simply decide if I can sell for that number. If you hit the reserve. the decision is no longer mine. I must sell at that number.
