Car description

UPDATE MARCH 16TH. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS/OFFERS/COMMENTS. I'M LOWERING THE PRICE TO $4500 NO OFFERS Auto restoration shop offers this 1977 Ford F250 Factory High Boy Pickup 4x4. Last and most desired year of the real High Boy. 77’s came with the best components minus the stock 400 motor. Well…. this one has a big block 429 ThunderJet from a T-Bird rated at 360 Horse Power. an incredible upgrade over the dog of a motor 400. This is grandpa’s truck. un-molested. perfect candidate for a mild cosmetic restoration. I’m a licensed auto appraiser and restoration shop owner. in my travels I come across good old 4x4’s and snatch them up whenever possible. I bought this truck in a rural mountain town from the 2nd owner. 1 family owned. I had my techs in the shop give this truck a good once over. We adjusted a few things. rebuilt the FOMOCO 4 barrel carburetor. new battery. cleaned it up. took off the nasty hill-billy front bumper and here she is for sale. I’ve been buying these Fords often in the past couple years. then offer them for re-sale. I hope to get some of my expenses recovered from the sale of these Fords to help off-set the cost of finding the high end muscle cars etc for customer and personal restoration. I’ve owned a couple dozen un-restored High Boys. this is the best one I’ve had for restoration. Original 101. xxx miles. Last picture. day I bought it. Click this PhotoBucket link for 75 pictures of this truck. http://s953. photobucket. com/user/fj40man79/library/1977%20HighBoy%20429%20Blue Click this link for a video I took today March 14th of this truck https://youtu. be/kgdQ9UH9U4o MECHANICAL The 429 was transplanted in the late 90’s with approximately 35k miles on the motor. the truck had 88k miles on it. The truck has 101k miles on it now. Big valve 4 barrel carb 360HP motor. Does not burn any oil on startup or after hot run. compression excellent. oil pressure excellent. C6 automatic transmission. Dana 44 front with power disc brakes. Dana 60 rear. Factory Ram-Assist power steering (not known as the best power steering design. but this one works better than most) probably due to small stock tires it’s whole life. I drove the truck 40 miles today. no complaints. BODY The body on this truck is in excellent shape speaking 70’s Ford. Very minimal rust on the body. the tail gate was removed and stored outside. it is wasted. This truck was white in color originally. it got a cheap re-paint in the 90’s blue in color. Looks like a basic scuff/shoot with little to no body work. no globs of bondo. Very straight truck. bed rails are straight. frame is excellent. Please look at all the pictures on the link to decide condition for yourself. Quite a few on my rack with the flash on. I’ve driven this truck a total of 40 miles. I could not find anything that needed immediate attention. This is the extent of my known reliability. not sure if it can make a cross country road trip. I suggest shipping. I have a shipping broker whom has shipped dozens of vehicles for me. I will put you in contact with him or work with your shipper. I will provide a quote for the actual buyer from my broker. you can find quotes online by googling 10 auto shipping quotes. I usually get 20+ quote requests. can’t waste my brokers time with that many requests. I have a clean clear WA state title in hand from the PO not dated or sale priced. will transfer with Bill Of Sale directly to you. Truck or title do not leave my possession until cleared full payment. I USPS Priority you the paperwork after funds are cleared. Please only make offer if you are sure you will complete the transaction. this is a binding agreement. so please only bid if serious. Thanks! PayPal deposit of $1000 due immediately after auction conclusion. no exceptions or refunds. Rest due within 5 days via check bank to bank wire or direct deposit.
