1940 1941 Ford pick up half ton

Hello Everyone, we are here pleased to find and list a True bran find 1940 or 1941 Ford half ton pick up truck. Yes it was in a barn, in an old part of town called Claremont Ca. This is a one true owner car, who has now passed and the family decided to let it go to someone who would restore it, give it life back again. It was last driven in 1979, 1980 and parked due to faulty breaks and in need of some engine work, as you can see in the pictures one side of the original flathead 59AB motor, the head is removed and now missing. I don't think the motor turns, have not tried to do anything with this truck, including cleaning it up, just selling like we found it !. Pink slip/title of course has been lost and the vehicle is long off any DMV system. You would need to get State certified Vin verification agency issue you the vin verification and register it that way. It does have it's California Blue license plates which were probably issued sometime in the 1970's. Truck has No rust that i can see, some light bondo here and there, corners of the cab are clean not rusted, interior complete, good seat, just dirty dusty. Radiator is missing, have two headlight bezels in the cab, Original ignition key. I haven't looked at the Vin tag on the firewall yet and the vin numbers that are stamped on the drivers side frame rail, but once I do i will post the vin numbers here soon. It's either a 1940 or 1941 model year, not sure. Anyway, Great candidate for restoration or Rat Rod? Or get it running and leave the rest just the way it is. I have it listed in local ad, asking $9500 obo, starting price here is $5000, with a reserve not too far off. These year Ford trucks are pretty rare, with only few years made in this body style.
