Car description

The 1928 Ford Model A open-cab pickup (76-A) is one we love to see because it combined the comfort of Ford's main sedan with truck usability - and it all get to be enjoyed with true roadster fun. Today that diverse spirit lives in this complete example that would be an attraction at any vintage car show, truck show, or even parade.
The dark green paint looks nice with the black fenders. It's very period correct, and the whole package has a well-earned, well-aged look that some may even mistake for original. We like particularly like this Model A because it boldly showcases the older style craftsmanship that came on the earlier vehicles. You see it in some great standout pieces, like the wooden bed rails that also match the wood on the bed floor and the bold yellow wire wheels. In fact, while the pickup was one of the most utilitarian of the Model As, it did come with the fender-mounted spare wire wheel, which gave it a very deluxe look.
There's just something extra cool about an open-top pickup. So while the black roof looks good and fits nicely, we bet you'll be spending most of your time open to the world. No matter how you choose to motor, stepping inside this Ford will always feel like a time machine to 1928. The bench seats and door panels have been reupholstered to feel fresher, but they still retain the vintage charm. Plus, there's no better feeling out there than grabbing an older four-spoke steering wheel and the sensation of having history literally in your hands. You even have the right details like the earlier-style gauge cluster and tall gearshift.
All Model As, even the trucks, got the same torquey 201 cubic inch four-cylinder engine. Which means maintenance and components are easier than you would think on a 90+ year-old pickup. In fact, this looks to have had a recent tune-up, and it includes newer hoses, coil, and plug. And they way this runs strong reaffirms its good maintenance. The three-speed manual transmission is light and easy to master, and the four-wheel mechanical brakes are surprisingly effective given the Model A's light weight.
A roadster pickup is one of the best ways to enjoy an early motoring classic. So if you're ready for open-top Sunday drive fun, call today!
