1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX Convertible 5-Speed

1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX Convertible 5-Speed. This car is in great condition. Passed smog in CA 3/2/2018. Received new tires and a new radiator in 2018.A Magnaflow four-cat exhaust system was added in 2016.Under the hood, the fuel-injected 5.0L V8 is paired to a Borg-Warner T-5 5-speed manual transmission and was rated at 225 horsepower when new. Records from new accompany the sale, and a service in September 2017 included a new master cylinder, shocks, and fluids. A new battery was installed in 2016. The AC has been converted toR134a but is not currently operating.Originally finished in Dark Grey, this example was repainted in its current Cherry Red shade in 2001. Some touch-up work was completed on both doors and one fender in 2011. There is a scrape below one of the doors. Comes witha shop manual, top boot, car cover, and a clean California title in the seller's name.I am the 3rd owner. It was with the original owner after being purchased at Novato Ford until 2017. Has been owned in California its whole life. Comes withwith extensive records from new.
Currently, while the top easily goes up and down by hand, the power function does not work on it - I believe there is a leak in the hydraulics for the top. It needs assistance lowering with a slight push in on the driver side of the cage. I personally prefer it this way as it's quicker and easier to put up and down. The little rear side passenger window needs help going up. There are a few minor nicks and chips on bottom of the sides and back bumper. Some minor scratching on the hood. There is about 1-2" bit of tar stain on the passenger side carpet. 1-2" tear on driver seat upholstery. Send me an email if you need any more info or photos.

To clarify regarding the AC - it appears to work mechanically but does not blow cold. Best case is it just needs a charge.
Also for those interested it comes with the original Novato Ford sticker on the front windshield.
