This 1930 Ford Model A sport coupe has a great history and story that goes along with it. In 1985 Wallace Zick SR bought this car and did a frame off restoration using the 30 model A restorers books that are included in the sale along with all of the notes and receipts he made. The reason he bought it was that when he turned 7, he wanted to duplicate the model A he originally owned back in 1934 that was the exact duplicate of this car. Once wallace sr finished the restoration, he only drove it 3 times and mostly left it in his garage to admire it until he passed on. His so, who is now in his late 70's, contacted me as he knows I collect model A's and sold it to me. This car has been driven very little since the restoration in 1985 which is why it shows so well. The only blemish that could be addressed is where he patched paneled above the running board, behind the driver front door you can see some cosmetic. The interior looks like new and as if it were just done. The door panels are like new. The top is like new and the rumble seat is like new. The son who sold it to me( wallace jr) only used it the local town car show once a year since his dad passed on. That is the only miles put on he told me, driving it to his house to the car show around 10 miles total. he told me he put on 4 new tires last year due to dry rot on the old ones. The car fires right up the way it should. It shifts all gears the way it should and the brakes stop it the way it should. I personally drove it around 20 miles for the video and around town and I was not aware of any issues etc. It has the original engine the car was born with. It was rebuilt in 1985 when it was restored. the engine number matches the title. It was a januray 1930 production. the car comes with a clean, modern and current title ready to register. Call me with any questions at all. This is a great car for car shows, touring or just plain daily driving fun.The plates, dash magnets and plate toppers do not go with the sale as they are part of my personal collection.
