Ford Mustang Cobra Indy Pace Car

For 1994, the Mustang underwent its first major redesign in 15 years. The new design, code named "SN-95" by Ford, was still based on the "Fox" platform, but featured dramatically new styling by Patrick Schiavone that incorporated some stylistic throwbacks to earlier Mustangs. The car remained rear-wheel drive. It greatly revived the popularity of the brand. The base model came with a 3.8 L V6 engine rated at 145 hp (108 kW) while the GT featured the "5.0" 4.9 L V8, which now utilized the 5.0L Thunderbird intake manifold and a larger, 60mm throttle body, and was now rated at 215 horsepower. The successful Cobra model also returned, with its GT-40 equipped 5.0 L engine, now rated at 240 hp (179 kW), the extra 5 horsepower coming from a 70mm throttle body. The Mustang Cobra convertible was selected as the Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500, making it the third time that the Mustang had enjoyed such an honor. One thousand replicas were built and sold through select dealers. Larger brakes, a different transmission, and suspension modification followed. The Mustang was named Motor Trend magazine's Car of the Year for the third time in 1994.

The interior is fantastic! Always been garaged, all original paint and decals. Gets driven just enough to keep everything working as it should. Couple of trips to the beach or a local car show. Always gets thumbs up. Being that there where only a 1000 of these ponies made and getting ready to hit it's thirtieth birthday puts these in a class that is getting harder to find. Included with the car is it's form fitting Cobra car cover, battery tender, the original dealers banner, two unwrapped demo cassette tapes, all the SVT documentation, all the original sale information and advertising, The original documentation signed by Parnelli Jones, Even the original sales invoice, a large 94 mustang poster and the framed Cobra Pace car at the race, the original pony car jacket, multiple magazines from the date the car was produced. This car was originally purchased in California. The underside of this Mustang is in fantastic shape.
People ask why I am selling, we just went through Hurricane Micheal and our house is really tore up and insurance is not paying for all our repairs, so this is our way of raising funds quickly for things needed. My garage was hurricane proof my house not so lucky. No the car did not get any damage or even wet. No reasonable offer refused. Fly in and drive home anywhere or we can ship it too (you cover the cost). We of course welcome any inspection you would need to feel comfortable with purchasing out of town. Great shape both physically and mechanical. Air blows ice cold. One eraser size hole in the original top, not through just on the outer fabric.

*NOTE* These cars did not come from the factory with roll bars. Also these are the original wheels. The PowerDyne does not put out any noticeable boost, just there to keep the vacuum from being around 24inches of vacuum puts it at about 0 inches of vacuum, if someone would want to remove,a new belt and air cleaner would be all that is needed. It is not a race car so I don't have 1/4 mile times. If you would want to put it in the positive range would need a smaller pulley and tuning, has original Mass Air and Cobra intake. No changes made to the engine or programing. Runs fantastic and never hot even on the hottest days with the air on.
