Car description

For Sale is a 1974 Ford F100 Supercab.

This vehicle is not road worthy at this point and will have to be trailered.

This is a very rare truck and almost impossible to find in this condition (Only 17,537 were produced).1974 is the first year Ford produced an extendedcab truck and I believe this was also the last year of the F100 name. This is a very iconic truck and one that doesn't come along very often.I have scoured the web and only find two pictures of these trucks and no records of any for sale or being sold. The data attached in the photos shows production numbers and as I understand the rear bench was more rare than the jumper seats. This one of course has the bench and a 460 big block. It appears that the passenger fender and bed may have been replaced based on a color mismatch.

I have been working on it as time allows and will continue getting it up to where it can be street legal as time allows. At this point I am listing it in the current condition for someone who is looking for a good project on a very unique and rare truck. If I don't get a buyer soon, I will be investing a little money into it and of course will raise the price accordingly. I have had this truck for a year and planned on fixing it up as a weekend driver, but found my High School truck and plan on focusing on restoring and building it instead.

This truck is complete minus the compressor, radio, and one badge on the bed. It originally came with the 360ci motor, but somewhere along the way was upgraded to the 460ci motor. The motor sounds strong and may have been modified (based on the lope), but not sure. The transmission goes into drive and reverse with no problems, and the brakes and power steering work perfectly fine. I don't know a lot about the history of the truck and have only done a few things on it to get it in running condition. At this point, I have replaced the fuel pump, adjusted the timing and carburetor, and replaced the center driveshaft carrier bearing. There areminor dings here and there on the trim and a dent you can see on theend of the driver'sdoor by the latch. It has a very short exhaust at this point, a power steering pump leak, the steering shaft dampener is shot, the radiator has a small leak, and I'm sure there are vacuum hoses that need replacing or rerouting. The last time I started it up it ran great until it got fully warmed up, then it wouldn't stay running without giving it gas. It fires up on the first turn every time and I'm sure it is just a matter of vacuum and adjustments.

Mechanically, it appears to be all minor items to make it road worthy, but honestly; I haven't gotten far enough along to be sure the transmission will shift properly, or if there may be other items to address after getting up to speed. I have shown the mileage as 102,610, but since it is limited to 99,999 mi. the actual is unknown. As you can see, this is the perfect candidate for a total rebuild project. The body is in great shape and from what I can tell only has two areas of rust. One along the edge of the passenger floorboard, and the other at the front of the bed on the passenger side. There is a bit of a bend along the edge of the drivers door and what looks like a patch thatmay be separating on the passenger side (see pic). The headliner is missing, the back seat was cut by something, the front bumper has a slight bend, The truck is solid, but will need some adjustment to get all of the body lines to be correct. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, but please understand; this is sold as is due to my limited knowledge of the history.

I have done my best to disclose any issues I have found and included quite a few photos to help. Feel free to ask about any other particulars. I will also do my best to assist with the transport side within reason. This has a clean Texas title, was originally bought in Pecos, TX. and was there until just a few years ago.

A $250 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24HRS. This is a reasonable deposit that will account for pulling the vehicle from the market and cover fees if a buyer backs out. Please ask any questions to be sure you understand what is being sold.
