Car description

Here we have a very rare early 1965 Ford Mustang K Code Fastback 2+2 in original Raven black with black interior. This car isa blast to drive, sounds great, runs strong, shifts tight and has the K code factory disc brakes up front. The rear end is the Ford 9 inch limited slip with 4:11 gears. ThisK Codeis the rarest model to find with it's original 4 Speedand original K Codematching number 289 HiPerformance motor still with the car. I have included a photo of the vin number stamped into the block from the Ford factory. These Original Ford 289 HiPo Blocks were hand picked for hardness and strength specifically to be hand built into the K Code motors including those K code motors built for the 1965 Shelby GT350. Only the K Code motors had the vin number stamped into the block to match the car's vin number making it "matching numbers". Very important for value; If the K Code vin number is not stamped into the block then it's not matching numbers original and you don't know for sure what motor your really buying! This car also has the very rare Tri Power 3X2 intake system that was a over the counter option in 1965. I have been told this particular Tri Power setup is very rare as it has the early Ford Autolite Carbs. The car also has it's original Factory hipo exhaust manifolds still on the car and have recently been finish restored. The car went through a complete rebuild and restoration about15 years ago and was performed by the previousowner who I purchased the car from about 7 years ago. In the last7 years I have only put about 600 miles on the car. Theoriginal radio is in place however inside theglove box is a working hi dollar Alpine Stereo with upgraded speakers that was installed by the previous owner. Both theoriginal 8,000 Rally Pak tach and original clock still work. The interior lights do not work, theydo not come on when you open the door. From 5 feet away the car's paint looks great however it is showing it's age and is not perfect. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions and I will do my best to answer. Most K codesyou see today do not have the original motor and/or have been modified way beyond how they started life. This car for the most part is a survivorin the originalBlack/Black color combination.Ikept the oil changed, carbs were rebuilt, restored the exhaust manifolds finish on exhaust manifolds and I had theFord 4 core radiator recently rebuilt. I've donemany car shows and charity eventsand believe me this car gets a lot of attention. True car guys know exactly what this car is and how rare it is to see an early 65' K Code Fastback in this kind of survivor condition. I have done my best to describe the car's condition and suggest the buyer have the car inspected to there satisfaction before bidding as to the cars authenticity, condition and or correctness as I am not a mechanic, dealer or the original owner. The car is being sold in as is as shown condition with no guaranty or warranty of any kind written or implied to the buyer with local pickup only.Any and all shipping cost, state or local taxes, title and registration fees of any kindare the buyers responsibility after sale.
