Car description

This is a rust free second generation 1974 Ford Econoline E100 10 window "shorty" van. Unfortunately at the present time the 240 c.i. inline 6 cylinder engine runs however it knocks and will need to be repaired and or replaced.

Its current mechanical status is running, however with this type of problem it could stop running at any time. We do not recommend driving it other than on or off a tow truck/car carrier. Although we only drove the "Shorty" outside our gate at 5 mph to take photos, the vehicle did go into forward and reverse gears, the 3 speed manual transmission and clutch seemed to be in good condition. The brakes stopped the van well and the suspension seemed to be in fine working order. The electrical systems worked properly when tested. The heater warms up the cabin quickly.

The body is rust free (body, chassis and frame).

The gas tank will need replacement

As with any pre owned vehicle there are various scrapes, scratches, nicks, chips, fading, hazing, touch-ups, discoloration etc. The overall appearance is very clean and honest. There is no rust or rot. The body and undercarriage are clean and the new owner will be pleased.

The interior cabin has normal wear and tear

Nice glass all around, windshield shows a small star shaped chip

Nice wheels with matching set of Michelin tires that have very good tread remaining on them, not sure of the age

This nice E-100 gets a thumbs up for it's lovely, classic and very appealing style. Mechanically it will need some TLC and in our opinion it is definitely worth fixing.
