Car description

For Sale is a 1982 Ford F100 Drag Racing Truck
Best of Everything; Spared No Expense; More than 60K invested. This truck has a clear Louisiana title.
This is an NHRA Certified tube Chassis built by Wizard Racing of Holden, Louisiana.
The motor is a Cast Iron Ford 460 Cubic Inch Engine Block, Bored and Stroked to 538 Cubic Inches.
The motor alone produces 850 horse power. It was built by McMurtry of Gulfport, MS.
This truck is built/designed for an 8.5-second 1/4-mile.
The motor and chassis has 1 pass on it; it ran a 9.34-second 1/4-mile. It's built for nitrous, but this pass was without nitrous, no line lock and no transbrake.
Install the nitrous, line lock and transbrake, and she'll do every bit of the 8.5-seconds she's designed for.
In "Street Outlaws" and "No Prep Racing" there's only so much horsepower you can put to the ground. This truck can win in those circuits. If you can drive; you can win!
A few Items used in the Build:
  • NHRA Certified 4130 Chromoly Tube Steel Chassis
  • Cast Iron Ford 460 Block (Bored/Stroked 538CID)
  • Ford C6 Automatic Transmission
  • Fabricated 9" Rearend
  • Trick Flow Specialties Aluminum Heads
  • TFS-5451T804-C03
  • Trick Flow Specialties Aluminum Intake Manifold
  • TFS-54400111
  • Eagle 4340 Crank

  • The truck needs to be scaled before racing. It includes a new nose cap; still in the crate and a new, never installed Harwood Snorkel. The tires are old, and should be replaced prior to racing - tuning and test runs would probably be ok. There is little to be done beyond what a prudent racer would do himself/herself prior to racing a vehicle.
