This Truck has a hot rod look yet retains much of the original charm. Equipped with a late 1970’s Small Block Ford 302 V8. and a C-6 Automatic Transmission. You are not viewing a frame off restored 100 point AACA Senior award winning showpiece. This is a nice clean running driving old truck that is very solid. which could be restored to a high level. or just keep the way it is to drive and enjoy. I had planned on building a “pro touring” Street Rod Truck with all the goodies. but have just been driving it as you see it over the past year. I purchased the Ford from a family estate. so I am limited to the prior knowledge or history about the truck. In the pictures. the truck looks Blue and White. In person. it is clearly Teal and White. Not sure why the photos show up that way. but it is definitely a shade of Teal Green. The paint is older. and of a Maaco quality. But shines at any angle with much gloss. There are imperfections in the finish. as understandable with an older driver quality vehicle. but as you can see from the photos. presents very well. In other words. you could still win a few trophies at local car cruises. The undercarriage is extremely clean. very solid. straight. and rust free. No holes. rust. or issues. Undercoat is present. but a very thin layer which is consistent with a factory or dealer application. Underneath. everything for the most part is still original. like stock suspension. manual drum brakes. manual steering. I’m not going to sugar coat it: It rides. drives. and handles like a 1955 Ford would. But for a fun affordable old school truck for my family and I to enjoy a couple days a week. it worked out well. The 302 V8 engine fires right up and sounds strong. Has a new air filter and a fresh oil and filter change. The C6 Trans shifts as it should. Newly added were Sunpro Gauges for Volts. Temp. & Oil PSI. and a CD player and speakers. Headlights. brake & tail lights. blinkers. and windshield wipers are in working order. The Speedometer currently just bounces. and appears to needs a new cable. You will also notice in the photos that the door locks are missing. I have ordered those. and should be here this week. Overall. this Ford is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Vintage Pickup truck at a very attractive price point that isn’t rusting away in someone’s back yard with a tree growing through the middle of it!!
