Up for auction by Rose Lane Restorations is an amazing late 1977 Ford F-250 4x4 pickup featuring a beautiful new professional cosmetic interior and exterior restoration. Wearing the high-line Ranger exterior trim package paired with the fancy Ranger interior, she's as pretty as they come. Not only pretty, but a pleasure to own and drive,equipped from the factory with Power Steering, Power Brakes, and the New Process NP 435 heavy-duty manual transmission backed by te NP 205 multi-range transfer case.This is an extremely straight truck with beautiful bodywork andbetter-than-new two-stage paint in factory-original and rare Dark Nectarine Metallic finish. It is in exceptionally well-maintained turn-key daily-driver mechanical condition, as well as being from a dry high desert climate, with no presentation of rust.

The interior features the beautiful new Rangerdeluxe upholstery package.This is truly a gorgeous truck that looks to me like it just drove off the showroom floor. Get in, turn the key, and go. Details as follows:


The truck began as a very straight high-desert survivor with no outer body rust presentation, still wearing original paint. The truck was then disassembled for restoration including the removal of all the exterior aluminum and stainless trim, the grill surround and grills, all lights, reflectors, and marker assemblies, and all glass including the door side glass, wing window assemblies, front windshield, and back glass. Of course all the weatherstrip was removed as well. The bumpers, bumper brackets, and wheels were removed, along with the entire interior. The original Dark Nectarine Metallic paint was then sanded down or stripped off as necessary, and the body panels massaged to the beautiful condition you see today. The truck was then treated to a high-end 2-stage RM Diamont professional paint job, using multiple base and clear coats give the truck a beautiful and deep finish that exceeds what it came with new. The inside of the bed was also completely repainted as well.

The front chrome Sport Bumper is original and nicely cleaned up, the rear step bumper and brackets restored, and the factory-original small "sport" side mirrors, door handles, door locks, antenna, bolts, etc. restored or replaced as needed. The aluminum grill surround, and the optional fancy Ranger side- and tailgate trim was cleaned, polished, painted, and clear-coated. While not perfectly as-new, the trim is beautiful, as you can see. The grills were restored, the headlamps replaced, the tail light lenses and bulbs replaced, the side marker assemblies and bulbs replaced, and the front marker lights and bulbs replaced. The emblems were removed and restored, as were the wiper arms.

The front windshield and gasket is new, the back glass and gasket new, and the door and wing windows are originals in great condition. New door window felts and wipers have been installed along with new window channel, and new door weather stripping to finish out the soft seal parts.

The bed is also completely rust-free, and has been painted to match... no rust at all. The tailgate is likewise in beautiful condition as well. The underside of the truck is rust-free and treated to a Zero Rust paint and rust-preventative coating, and along with the wheel well openings, axles, drivelines. These areas have been nicely detailed to add to the exterior beauty. The floors, rockers, frame, cab mounts, corners, etc. are all exceptional and rock-solid.

Panel and door fitment are very nice; we perform all the alignment before the paint work is done and blueprint the panel mounting areas for an optimum fit. The side glass windows roll up and down smoothly.


The interior upholstery has just been restored, and is gorgeous, as you an see. Details include a restored and dyed uncracked original dash pad, a new Doeskin Tan molded carpet kit, new high line Dark Brown Ranger seat upholstery and matching headliner, restored sun visors, restored rear view mirror, new door panels and armrests, new dome light, etc. The transfer case and shifter arms have been repainted, knobs detailed, pedals painted, new pedal pads, new shifter and transfer case boots, new door sill plates, and more. The gauge lens was removed and polished, and the gauges cleaned. The fancy Ranger wood grain insert steering wheel and wood grained dash and glove box trim is all still in nice condition as well.


The engine is the original 400M V8 in excellent turnkey running condition with ~37,000 miles since being overhauled with performance parts,including an Edelbrock aluminum 4v intake, new Edelbrock 4v carburetor, Edelbrock RV2 cam, lifter, and spring package, new HEI high energy electronic ignition, ring/bearing/oil pump/gaskets, new water pump, and more. A new performance dual exhaust system was installed including headers and a Flow Master muffler. The engine sounds very healthy and is very responsive, with fresh tune-up parts, fluids, and filters. Much more powerful AND reliable than stock. Turn the key and go.

The factory manual transmission has been serviced, has a solid clutch, and shifts as it should.

The front and rear axles are the original Dana /Spicer Limited Slip units with 4.10 gears; Dana 60 in the rear and Dana 44 in front, with disc brakes. The truck is equipped with true power steering, and power brakes, both of which are in good order.

The truck drives very nicely, tracks straight down the road, and steers easily and well. It stops well and straight; the truck is a lot of fun to drive. She turns heads wherever she goes, especially now, looking brand-new.

The wheels are the original 16" steel wheels, freshly powder coated in Wimbledon White, and wearing brand-new 285/85/16 (35”) radial M/S tires, trimmed with original Ford hubcaps. New Rancho RS 5000 shock absorbers round out the suspension at all four corners. The undercarriage and wheel openings have been nicely cleaned and detailed, as you can see. Not a full undercarriage restoration, but nothing to detract from the beauty of the rest of the truck.

While not a 100-point nut-and-bolt "Concourse" restoration, this truck is an absolute beauty that is going to make someone very happy! If you are looking for a reliable driver that you can both enjoy as an investment AND transportation, this is your Ford!

While not equipped with A/C, my shop is a Vintage Air installer and I can add a full system for $3k fixed price.
