Car description

I WILL POST MORE PHOTOS ASAP AND AM IN THE PROCESS OF FINISHING THE INTERIOR OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS.
This car was ordered with the A code GT engine and has factory disc brakes, plus it has had a dual exhaust system added to it, therefore, it could easily be converted to a GT "clone" if one wanted to do that and it would be much more of a true GT than all the other "clones" out there.
The interior is mostly new and everything that was done was done to Concours show quality standards using only the best and most expensive parts currently available. It was originally a standard black interior but I changed the seats to pony style because they look and feel much nicer. Everything else is stock.
The stock wheels were cleaned then sanded then painted and have brand new, stock size 195x75-14" white wall tires.
The differential is the original 3.00.
The engine is stock except for a very rare Edelbrock 1404 carburetor. It has no vibration and it never smokes under any condition. It runs perfectly and is surprisingly fast.
The clutch is new and is just slightly stronger than stock.
The disc brakes are the original 2 piston Kelsey Hays with the original master cylinder and proportioning valve and they work perfectly. They do not bleed down when stopped and never need to be pumped.
The front suspension has new high performance 610 springs with Monroe-Matic shocks.
The original color was vintage burgundy which is a gorgeous color and is extremely rare.
The sheet metal is all original and the body is straight and everything lines up well but the nose of the hood was damaged slightly and repaired poorly but new hoods made from the original Ford tooling are available from Scott Drake whom is the worlds largest supplier of aftermarket parts for the Mustangs.
The floors are untouched and dirty looking but still have the original black paint over the factory red oxide primer with no rust holes.
It has both original black and yellow license plates from 1965 and is currently registered.
It needs paint and engine detailing and some other minor work but it can be safely and reliably driven on a daily basis just the way it is.
It runs xlnt and never runs hot. I just drove it 75 miles in 100 degree heat.
NEW INTERIOR PARTS AND LABOR
MOLDED 80/20 CARPET - From ACC.
STANDARD DOOR PANELS - From TMI Industries
PONY SEAT COVERS - From TMI Industries. These are by far the best and most expensive seat covers available and are the most original looking including the correct size binding which only TMI uses.
SEAT FOAM - From American Cushion Industries. This is by far the best and most expensive seat foam available and it is just like the original in every way. ALL the other seat foam from ALL the other mfgs is made incorrectly and excessively firm, which is actually ok if you like sitting on a rock.
SEAT FRAMES - Sand blasted then painted with lacquer.
SEAT SIDE MOLDINGS
SEAT HINGE COVERS
KICK PANELS
DOOR SILL MOLDINGS
INSTRUMENT BEZEL AND LENS - I also repainted the needle with the correct fluorescent red paint.
HEADLIGHT & WIPER BEZELS AND KNOBS
CHROME HEATER BEZEL
CLUTCH & BRAKE PEDALS
POLISHED STAINLESS PEDAL TRIM
SHIFTER BOOT
CHROME SHIFTER BOOT BEZEL
DOOR FRAMES AND REAR QUARTER PANELS - Repainted with the correct shade of semi gloss black lacquer.
WINDOWS
The front windows on these cars often roll up poorly due to bad regulators, and the rear windows rarely work due to dry tracks. The regulators in these windows are in prefect condition with tight shafts and all the tracks on all the windows were greased so they all roll up and down as smooth as they did when they were new.
HUB CAPS
They are in mint condition and do not have a single ding or scrape and the paint on them is xlnt.
ADDITIONAL PARTS
I am a Scott Drake dealer and will give any buyer 15% off of Scott Drakes retail price for any parts they need if they buy a minimum of $200.00 worth.
INSPECTION
The car is located in Lake Elsinore California and I am available most any time to show it.
