Car description

This first-year 1957 Ford Ranchero has V8 power and a custom color package that's used as a uniform feature throughout the pickup. It makes for an exceptionally cool cruiser that you can pick up for an affordable price. This one has been customized from every angle. Up front, the custom paint makes this car/truck look like its doing 200 mph and the wild purple is finally being revealed as its the tame light blue facade is forcefully being pulled off... by the speed. Along the side, there's more great custom purple (even on the roof!). And you also have lake pipes and rear fender skirts. The rear has a coordinating tonneau cover. And it all ends with a custom Continental kit that makes this pickup look more like a Thunderbird. But these Rancheros were already cool before the added investment in this one. 1957 is a one-year-only style that has unique features like the single headlight, outward pointing grille, and thick chrome bumper. And the full-length side trim with dipping "V" pattern is pure '50s magic. The exterior blue theme continues through to the custom interior, and now it's joined by a bright white. The two-tone on the seats and the doors look great, but we especially love the tuck & roll pattern behind the bench and on the dash. There are other great upgrades for style and function, including the banjo-style sports steering wheel, bold blue knobs, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo. It's a total package that comfortable on the road and looks nice when parked. Under the hood is a great-looking powerplant. The 292 cubic-inch motor was known as the Thunderbird V8 in '57, and so those valve covers have been earned. It's a powerhouse of a motor, but it doesn't lose its easy cruising attitude as it sweetly purrs through its extended dual exhaust system. The three-speed automatic transmission stays comfortable as it clicks through the gears without a fuss. Plus, power steering and Fairlane-style suspension mean this is great cruising classic. It's hard not to love a cool custom Ranchero. But when this full custom car-like truck is priced less than a new Taurus or F-150, well then, you know it's going to leave our showroom quickly.
