1991 Ford Mustang 5. 0 Saleen Convertible Clone w/ REAL SPEEDLINE WHEELS/Nitto Tires& Styling BarUp for your consideration is our 1991 Ford Mustang 5. 0 Saleen Convertible clone. The car has 81. 57 original miles. Exterior color is bright red with saleen stripe and ground effect package. roll bar/styling bar. REAL Speedline wheels (staggered - made in Italy) and Nitto tires with plenty of tread left (I have had multiple folks want to purchase the wheels. I prefer to sell them along with the car however if you wanted only the wheels/tires I would sell them for $3500 OBO). The interior is red cloth and the transmission is an automatic. The AC and Heat both work as they should. The body does NOT have rust issues and its apparent the car has been cared for over the years. I am willing to work with you on the price or possibly work in free shipping depending on the sale price. (I would be open to a partial trade of a two stroke cr250 or kx250 dirt bike). Condition of the car is very nice. The paint is bright and the car definitely turns heads. The top is in good shape with no tears (I am sure its been replaced at some point). This Mustang drives and handlers nicely. We took it to the beach this past summer and it performed very well (5 hours to and from). We purchased the car over the summer to use as a weekend car and we’re just not using it as much as we hoped. This would make a great car for daily use or for a weekend cruiser. To me this is one of the best looking fox bodies out there. Bright red paint. saleen ground effects. Speedline wheels (correct staggered for Saleens) and a roll bar. The car looks great!Although the car is nice there are some areas of wear. There are a few areas on the ground effects where there’s some damage (front passenger edge). passenger area near lower door. and rear bumper cover (small crack). There’s a few scratches in the paint and a small area of damage above driver side rear wheel area (see pictures). The molding (rubber gaskets) have some wear (normal). the rear main seal drips a little and since its gotten cold I did notice a small drop of oil. The car has been garage kept since I have owned it and the prior owner kept it covered as well. From what I have been told the 2nd owner (one before gentleman I purchased the car from) had the Saleen kit installed and had around $12000 in the upgrades (paint. wheels. tires. roll bar. etc). He was a member of a Mustang Club just north of us here in s North Carolina. This mustang is not mint (perfect) but it is very nice. This Mustang has been tastefully modified but is still very close to stock. I would give the paint a 8 or 10 or better and the interior and 7. 5 of 10 (its original so it has some age toning in areas (front passenger floor mat is missing also). I believe the car has 4. 10 gears installed (steeper than stock 3. 08 gears) which causes the odometer add mileage a bit faster than normal so the car likely has less mileage than the 81. 9k miles. When you get up to speed (65 or so on interstate) or at random times the speedo bounces around (common on these cars). Also the small pieces of edge molding near window on drivers side is broken (I have a new one from Late Model Restoration I will include with the car if you ever want to change it out (measures 6 inches long or so). The mirror switch does not work on the driver side (likely needs new switch). and the door handle bezels have cracks. The title is clear and is in my name (NC Title).
