1934 Ford Model 40 Deluxe 5-window Coupe California Prize..Popular with cops and crooks alike, the 1934 Ford Model 40 Deluxe 5-window Coupe holds a special place in automotive history. Particularly popular because of its power, it also marked a change in automotive design. The one aspect of the car's popularity is quite ironic. The Police enjoyed the car for its power under the hood, and therefore, its ability to chase down criminals. Car thieves particularly enjoyed stealing the car so they could run from the cops. Despite being introduced during the midst of America's depression, the '34 Ford Model 40 Deluxe quite successful amongst the public.

It has gone through an extensive rotisserie restoration 15 years ago inside and out, also recently went through a major service where no cost was spared including not limited to new fuel system, carbs completely taken apart and serviced, brake system. Interior has been restored to original factory specifications using original factory material. There has been no evidence the car has been in any accidents. Every panel lines up perfectly, all glass is clear with no scratches, fog, or any fading. Brakes have been fully serviced, Reserved in a climate-controlled warehouse where it was regularly taken care of as if it were their own.

It features the powerful 221 CID 85 hp, 'L-Head' V-8 engine and a three-speed sliding gear, floor-shift manual transmission, Stromberg two-barrel downdraft carburetor, Original Ford factory Fidelity AM radio, with a beautiful Faux wood interior trim. It comes complete with a Greyhound hood ornament, Firestone wide white-walled tires, Wire spoke wheels, dual horns, cowl lights, RARE optional rumble seat and continental kit, "Flip-up" luxury front windshield, Rolling down back window, cherry wood trim finish, pull down shade visor, "aftermarket" turn signals and finished off with the classic "Ooga" horn! This true American classic still features it's original full metal body, aside from minor lacquer stress around the body, this "Cops and Robbers" car is finished in beautiful Burgundy with Black exterior paint on the fenders to top it off.

As you're driving down the road you can truly feel the power of the V8 engine as it takes control of your body and emotions, the clutch responding smoothly and with ease. The engine all around has been very well maintained and taken care of to the point as if you are looking at one that just came off the assembly line. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The deposit can be made by cash (please do not mail cash!), bank check, cashier's check, or bank transfer (preferred). The remainder is due within 10 days of Auction end. The remaining balance must be made in the form of a bank transfer (preferred) Cashier'scheck, or bank check (all forms of payment subject to verification). PayPal will not be accepted as a form of payment for either the deposit or the final payment. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Please arrange financing prior to bidding. Once the final balance has been paid, title transfer paperwork will be initiated.
