Car description

1972 Ford Ranger Shortbed with a 351W and a 4 Speed in the floor with Hurst shifter. Running gear is out of a 1970 Mustang. Drive it anywhere you want to. I just had the heads reworked a few weeks ago with new stainless valves. guides. seals. springs. retainers and new rocker arms. If you know about the 351W D00E heads they where only made 2 years 69 and 70 and it cost me $700 just to get the heads redone. Another $100 for gasket set. So it definitely wasn't cheap. I left it a 2 barrel. The truck has fairly new exhaust and the brakes have been gone through so it stops like it should. The truck does have power steering and handles real good. The interior is very nice with bucket seats and a nice center console. Dash is nice as well with no cracks. Body is in real good shape for the age but I'm going to list the pros and the cons. Tailgate is rust free. bed has one tiny rust spot above the drivers rear well (See Pic). drivers fender has small rust hole at the very bottom (See Pic). Passenger side has no visible signs of rust. Driver side inner fender is perfect. passenger side inner fender is rusted underneath the battery tray. nbsp;both rocker panels have one small place closer to the fender. driver side rocker picture shows the rust hole other pic is of passenger rocker and is just surface rust. the front cab supports have been replaced and the floor supports are perfect. the hood is probably one of the best you can find without doing a lot of work to one. nbsp;few little places in floor pan closer to the rocker panel. Paint is ok for a driver. Paint is flakey in areas as you can tell in the pictures. I kind of like it that way but everyone is different. The aluminum grill is in very good condition. Truck has a really good heater in it as I just replaced the heater core. Tires have at least 3/4 tread remaining. Not a show truck but still turns plenty of heads. Someone restoring a 70 Mustang needing a 351W 4 speed would pay good money just for the running gear. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I can deliver to the east coast region. up to 600 mile radius of zip code 24055. If needing addition pictures I can email or text them to you. $250 non refundable deposit within 48 hours after auction ends unless otherwise discussed. Good Luck and Happy Bidding
