Car description

I am only the second owner of this vehicle.
I purchased it in June 2014 from the professional mechanic (worked for state vehicles motor pool) who had a totally rebuilt 1993 Ford Van 460hp 8cl engine that he put in this 1978 Ford F150 body.
Engine has only 4000 miles on it post-rebuild.
The original owner bought it brand new in 1978 from Rich Ford Dealership in Albuquerque, NM and used it primarily as a farm truck.
The body/transmission had about 60,000 miles when the 1993 engine was put in.
The mechanic who did the rebuild planned to convert it to a rock crawler, so he raised the frame and put larger wheels on it, but then had to move to California and sold off most of his projects, rather than transport them.
I drove it for 3 years in Albuquerque, NM, and about 6 months in Phoenix, AZ. In Albuquerque, it was kept on the ground level of a covered parking ramp. In Phoenix, it's been parked in covered parking.
It's never been in an accident or flood. It has never sat unused for more than a few weeks at a time. Since I've owned it, I've kept up with regular maintenance, oil changes, etc. Last oil change, fluids checked, etc April 2017.
Tires are good, including spare on steel rim.
Now for the updates and repairs I have had done -- all by certified/professional service garages, not some backyard mechanic.
2017:New starterNew batteryNew battery cables.New aluminum radiator/hoses/fitting/clamps/etc.New 19 gallon steel gas tank with all new lines/clamps/fill spout/filters, etc.New alternator belt.New 12V plug for GPS/cell phone/computer
2016:Routine maintenance only.
2015:New (not rebuilt) 4bbl carburetorNew master cylinderNew medium duty rear shocksNew rear brake pads/drums/calipers/wheel cylinders/brake lines (metal and rubber), cables, etc.
2014:I had it completely rewired.Replaced left front brake line (metal and rubber).New medium duty front shocks.New tail gait latch.Radiator pressure test, flush, and fill.New thermostat.Had exhaust system checked out, because I thought it was loud. Turned out to be made that way. No repairs needed.
In the 3.5 years I've owned it, I've put about 2000 miles on it. No hard use.I'm 62 yrs old and simply needed a vehicle to get me around town on short trips. And, yes, apparently I am crazy to have put so much money into this truck like everyone tells me.8/18/17: I drove it home from the repair garage, having had a new starter, battery, and battery cables put on. Stopped at Walmart. It started fine, drove it home.8/22/17: Started fine. Drove to have it emissions tested as per AZ law, so I could renew the registration. Was told I was at the wrong location, that they didn't do testing, just repairs.8/23/17: Went to drive it to different emissions place, it wouldn't start. Tow truck driver used jumper cables, got it running, took it back to repair garage where starter, etc, was just put in.8/24/17: Replaced alternator belt.8/25/17: Picked it up from garage, started fine, ran great for about a mile. Then it started to run rough and stall repeatedly. Made it home, parked it, called repair garage. Guessed it might be the fuel pump, but not sure.
That was the last straw, as they say. No more repairs, no more money wasted. Even though I can't afford a different vehicle, I'm done with this one.
I'll use public transportation or walk.
What still needs fixing that I am aware of:Front brakes will need new rotors and pads soon.Passenger door/lock/window are stuck and won't open.Windshield washer won't spray, just makes noise.
Until today, it ran wonderfully. Excellent acceleration. Rode pretty well, but it is still a truck, not a luxury sedan. When I moved from Albuquerque to Phoenix, I hauled it here on a flatbed.Paint is faded, checked, rubbed off in spots, as you would expect.Very little rust, mostly on the rear wheel wells.Has bedliner, but I don't think it's permanently attached.Couple of minor dents/dings. No major damage, only wear and tear, and age.Upholstery on bench seat is rough. Needs new seat covers.Has a gun rack! I used it to hang grocery bags on.I replaced passenger side mirror with a trailer mirror so I could see better. No carpet. No heat. No A/C. Apparently the truck never had any of these things.Sliding rear window works fine and locks.Driver side door and window work okay. Lock works.I only have one key to this vehicle.I added a locking gas cap w/key.No radio. It was stolen last year and I never bothered to replace it. Thieves also broke the glove box latch at that time.I've never used the 4x4 feature.4 on the floor manual transmission. Shifts good.Power steering.Power brakes.Heavy duty iron grill guard.Bumper mounted trailer hitch. All original paint. No idiot lights. Gauges all indicate good engine. Oil pressure gauge sits at about 3/4 of the way between low and high when running. Temp gauge stays in safe zone since I had the new radiator put in. Before that it tended to run a little hot, but I never let it reach redline or boil over. Too afraid I'd blow the head gasket.
Email with questions. I will dig up all my service and repair receipts. I have the clear state of New Mexico title in hand. I will also take more pictures.I will be glad to let you see it in person afternoons. Local pick up only, unless you want to make all the arrangements to have it shipped.Payment by PayPal or cash only.

Error: New gas tank is not steel, it's aluminum. At least I think so. See pic.
