Car description

1988 Ford Bronco II XLT. Four wheel drive, V-6 engine, 5-speed manual transmission, power windows, power locks, air conditioning, cruise control, Warn manual locking hubs. Even a CB radio!

Vehicle now shows 33,700 miles which I believe with a high level of confidence represents 133,700 miles, however it has a remanufactured engine that now has less than 2,500 miles on it that was installed in July 2010. The replacement engine was carefully broken in and runs well. Radiator, clutch, hoses and other related items were replaced with new when the engine was changed and other vehicle parts have been replaced and services completed as necessary. Tires have less than 5,000 miles. I will provide supporting documentation to the buyer.

The only non-standard equipment I am aware of is rear helper springs.

Vehicle was repainted the original color one time in 2005. I have photos of the vehicle prior to repainting that show there was no visible rust or body damage prior to repainting. Paint quality is excellent in my opinion.

Minor deficiencies: (1) slight surface rust is visible under the vehicle (see photos). (2) very minor dent in passenger side front fender which is actually hard to see under most conditions but tried to point this out in a photo – I think this was overlooked by the technician prior to painting, (3) engine leaks 2 or 3 drops of crankcase oil while parked each winter near the front of the engine, (4) engine temperature gauge indicates on the high side of the “normal” range on hot days but has not gone above the normal range. I check the coolant level frequently and have seen no leaks. Other owners say this is normal for this vehicle and the gauge is not entirely accurate, but I still pay close attention to it. (5) right side locking hub turns a little harder than the left side one for some reason.

In summary, vehicle has been well maintained and without question is in very nice condition from the standpoint of appearance (inside and outside) and mechanically.

These vehicles are becoming more scarce and collectible with time and may soon command prices that the original Broncos in nice condition are now getting ($25,000 and up).

Have owned this vehicle for 12 years and am selling due to health considerations.

Buyer can fly into Northern Maine Regional Airport (PQI), Presque Isle, Maine and then drive or transport the vehicle home.

$500 deposit required within 24 hours of successful bid with remainder due in full prior to taking ownership within 30 days.
