1969 Ford Galaxy XL Convertible

Please read ad and ask questions before placing bid!! I am selling a 1969Ford Galaxie XL convertible, originally factory red painted once, 59,000 miles, factory bucket seats and console...rare option!The car has a factory 429 cu in engine with automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes, new front end suspension and brakes. The engine runs and sounds good, transmission shifts smooth. It is currently running off a an auxiliary 5 gallon boat gas tank in the trunk, so the original tank will need to be dropped down and cleaned. It has after-market wire wheels, I do not have the original hubcaps. The vacuum hide away headlights work, all head lights, brake lights and turn signals are in working condition. The car needs paint and body work..the frame and floors are solid, the trunk has a tennis ball size hole, rear wheel needs patched. The convertible top will need to be replaced, front seats and arm rests need to be recovered. The chrome is decent. This a restorable car with the rare 429, being sold as is at a reasonable price.
