Car description

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME! I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW FOR SERIOUS BUYERS! PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS AT (6I9) 987-8444. This a very original, very complete Barn Find 1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner Two Door Coupe that has never been Hot Rodded or customized but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be. It is an original black paint, very solid, California black plate car. The body is very straight. It has not been cut on at all. The floorboards and frame are beautiful. The car has been stored underneath a tarp since 1986 so there is some rust at the front of the hood, back of the decklid, and some at the bottom of the front fenders. It is all sheetmetal, not structural at all. You will be surprised at how straight the car really is. The Star Liner still retains both of it's original black and yellow California license plates with registrations dating back for decades. These big old Fords are just cool. Big fins and the space age look were hot in the 1950s but even more so in the early 1960s. The sleek lines lend themselves well to a custom look using the beautiful factory Ford lines. The cars had great success on the NASCAR circuit in the 60s. It is a 352 cubic inch big block Ford with an automatic transmission. I have not tried to start the car. It is well optioned with factory power steering, power brakes, and power windows. It has a bench seat with a column shift. The interior is actually quite nice. The front seat has been recovered and is in good shape, the back seat is nice, and the carpet is surprisingly nice. The dash is complete and untouched. Original gauges, factory radio. It has a crack in the dashpad. The drivers side window has a crack. The headliner has had some repair. At the end of the day, this is a cool old Ford that would make a great restoration project or use to build you dream Hot Rod. You can go any direction you want with it. Try to find another original paint CA car that is priced to sell. You won't find one this solid back East. You can find a Mustang or a Camaro on every corner. Dare To Be Different! Clean, clear CA title in hand. I am located in Solana Beach, California in North County Coastal San Diego. Thanks! I can help with transportation either getting it loaded on a truck or assisting you however I can at the buyer's expense. Inspections are encouraged. $1000 non refundable deposit due at auction end and remaining balance due within three working days. I'm all the way across the country in S.C, so I'm not your buyer( but would love to be ) I owned a 60 Starliner from 63 to 65 & because it was so fas, I was always being asked what size the engine was - I'd say 352 & the arguments would begi, because 352 Engines was Blue -- my Valve covers & breather were Yello, like your breather ( I'm assuming the valve covers have been painted black, because the breather looks origional -- I did some research & discovered " the Yellow represented Police Special High Performance " with 365 HP -- you won't find many - the yellow caught my eye ---- car may rarer than you think - if it was on the east coast I'd have to have it ( if I could afford it ) -I have a 61 Starliner no, only because I couldn't find a 60 when I was searching 8 or 9 years ago
