1965 F100 Short Bed Stepside
This is a solid rust free truck. See the pictures.
Originally a 6 cylinder, 240 engine 4 speed granny gear truck.
Now it has a rebuilt 289 4V motor, headers, new FlowMasters exhaust making it fun to drive! It gets 15 plus miles to the gallon on the freeway.
We also installed a rebuilt C4 automatic transmission. Runs and drives great.
Everything works except the horn. All lights, turn signals, blower motor, wipers, etc. . .
We also installed power front disc brakes and 17" wheels.
I would drive it anywhere. This F100 truck is a proven reliable great running truck! You could purchase it fly to Texas and drive it anywhere home.
I built this truck for my 18 year old son, but decided that he wanted a 1972 Maverick so I drove it regularly for about 2 years. I have taken it on trips to Arizona and South Texas during the hot summer months. No problem with running hot. I am selling I own way too many cars. It's time for someone else to enjoy this great truck. In great mechanical condition.
Always maintained the years I’ve owned it, regular oil changes, etc.Good glass all around with the interior clean and good tires. Things were taken care of as needed.
So, truck needs nothing mechanical to be reliable. Cosmetically, the truck has “patina”,
This F-100 is very solid and not a pile of junk! If you are looking for a short box to restore, this may be it, but all my friends encouraged me to leave the original patina. Again it has proven to be a great and reliable work and play truck, never failing to start a conversation or to get "thumps-up" whenever I take it out.
Clear Texas Title in my name.
