Car description

This 1932 Ford roadster just gets better and better the more you look at it. Steel body, fuel injected V8, classic color combination, and a folding top for emergencies? If you want a rod that you can actually drive and use as a regular car, this is an excellent choice. We'll admit that the white bodywork with the blue fenders isn't as flashy as some flame job, but it'll never go out of style and showcases the ultra-straight Henry Ford steel body. It's got the usual modifications like shaved hinges and door handles, plus a custom hood, but there's no mistaking the look of a '32 Ford roadster. The paint job is probably ten years old, and it's showing signs of use because this is a car that was built to drive, so that's what it does. But that's the great thing about steel bodies: they don't age like fiberglass, so it's still ready to go and looks pretty darned good. The fenders are also steel and show the most age, but nothing that would keep you from enjoying the car as-is. We definitely like the chrome bumpers front and rear, which gives it a finished look and offer some real-world protection, as well as the chrome rub strips on the running boards. A custom insert for the radiator shell gives it a custom look and the King Bee-style headlights are a traditional touch. You'll pay more for perfection, but you won't have more fun.The interior is handsome and durable blue vinyl with white piping and accents and it works rather well. The bench seat has a vintage look and the door panels are slightly stylized but with vertical pleats they look right in a '32. It's got a tilt column so it's easier to get comfortable behind the wheel and there's even a Vintage Air A/C system that's installed but has never been charged (do you need it in a roadster?). Dakota Digital supplied the gauges which fit neatly in a custom billet panel, giving the old-school rod a high tech look when you turn the key. The floor is carpeted so it helps control noise and heat and as I mentioned, there's a folding blue canvas convertible top with a fitted boot, so it looks good top up or top down. And this is the rare hot rod with a rumble seat, which everyone seems to love, and it's upholstered in matching blue and white vinyl for a consistent look. The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 topped by an Edelbrock throttle body fuel injection system, so it has an old-school carbureted look with modern drivability and bulletproof reliability. There's some chrome and billet aluminum under the hood that dresses it up, and the firewall has been smoothed and modified to make it clean. The hood sides are removable for good service access, but given how reliable these tend to be, you shouldn't have to spend much time in there. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic feeding a white 9-inch Ford rear end, and the suspension consists of A-arms up front and ladder bars in back, with coil-overs all around. A Flowmaster exhaust system has the right snarl and the reinforced chassis is plenty robust for regular driving. Add some disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and sensibly-sized 215/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear tires on Billet Specialties wheels, and you have a very user-friendly little roadster.Nicely built, well-equipped, and driven enough to be fully sorted, this cool all-steel rod represents somewhat of a bargain. Enjoy it now or upgrade it into something truly spectacular, but there's just no way to go wrong here. Call now!
