Car description

1993 Ford F150XLT extended cab 4WD

THE GOOD: Owned by one family since new (purchased by me in 1993, old to father who sold to son who sold to nephew who gave it back to me) Never in a major wreck (see "The Ugly") only 150340 original miles, nterior in good condition (see "The Ugly"), ood tires, ear slider window that connects to the slider in the color matched camper shell. Engine runs strong, oes not leak nor burn oil, M/FM cassette, lastic bed liner, ower steering, ower locks, ower windows (See "The Bad"), ir conditioning (see "The Bad") The rear seat folds to make a deck in the back. It has cruise control but I don't know if it's working. It has front and rear fuel tanks (see "The Bad") It shifts in and out of 4 wheel drive easily. There is an anti-theft key that must be inserted under the dash before the truck will start. There is also a new 5 year battery that I installed in July.

THE BAD: The transmission slips out - shift into second and back into drive. It may need a new transmission or simply an adjustment. I don't know and don't have the funds to repair. The driver's side power window goes down but does not go up (I use a suction cup with a handle to assist it in going up) The air conditioner needs a new compressor. I don't know if the cruise control works because of the transmission slipping. The sensor for the front fuel tank does not work (I got around that by filling both tanks and running on the front tank first. When it was empty I would switch to the rear tank. When the rear tank got 1/4 full, would refill)

THE UGLY: It's never been in a major wreck and has never seen a body shop so there are minor dents and dings all over the body. The biggest dents are on the passenger side - the lower passenger door has a good size dent but the door opens and closes ok and the front passenger bumper is dented. I have tried to take pictures of the damage. The driver's seat is worn where you get in and out and there is a small cigarette burn in the middle of the rear seat. There are a couple of cracks in the dashboard. My nephew took off the camper shell and it is not "square" on the truck and needs to be repositioned so that the locks on the hatch door work.

PAYMENT: A $200 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end and the balance in either cash or cashier's check at time of pickup (within 1 week). The truck must be picked up in Rye, olorado. NO, WOULDN'T TRY TO DRIVE IT ACROSS COUNTRY WITHOUT REPAIRING THE TRANSMISSION. The last deal fell through because the buyer was in Florida and didn't think it through.
