Car description

1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2Numbers matching 289-V8 C-code, utomatic transmission, nd RearPlease see the 47 pictures belowThis is an opportunity to buy an all original Mustang Fastback 2+2 with a mostly complete paint job and nice all original interior. I have set a very reasonable reserve that will allow someone to own a highly desirable investment-grade collector car for a low entry-level price. This is a project that will need some work but its a great place to start. In 1977, he owner of this car harvested some parts off a wrecked 1966 Mustang GT and added them to this car. These and a few other high-dollar parts make for some very nice value-add upgrades to this otherwise all original C-code Fastback:
  • Four Barrel Carb
  • Intake
  • GT Wood Steering Wheel
  • Front Grill with Fog Lights
  • 140mph Speedometer
  • Rear valence with dual-exhaust pipes ported through
EXTERIOROverall, he red paint is great shape. It needs the door jams and rear-valence painted to be complete. Unfortunately, hile loading it onto a trailer, he hood and its paint were damaged. An original 1965 Mustang hood will be included with the car. Panel gaps are good. The passenger-side door is slightly open in the pictures due to a faulty latch but is not misaligned. The wheels are original. It will need tires.Glass is good all around.INTERIORThe door panels, ash, eadliner, nd seats are all in very good original condition. It comes with the highly desirable fold-down rear seat, lso in great condition. It will need new carpeting. It will need significant patchwork on the floors and it probably pays to just replace them. The trunk floor is solid. The frame is solid with only surface rust.MECHANICALThe car will need work. The engine will turn around 180 degrees but then gets stuck. It will not fire. My engine guy said he feels something is blocking it. I do not know more than that. I don't know about the transmission because I never drove it. It will also need a new exhaust.I've tried to present the car in an honest and accurate way, owever, t is still a 50 year old project car and is being sold as-is. I encourage you to come to see the car or message/text/call me with any questions you might have. My name is Elliot. UPDATE ON ENGINE CONDITIONI mentioned in the listing that the engine only spins 180 degrees and then gets stuck. I recently spoke with a friend of mine who is a Mustang expert. He has run into this problem before with the automatic transmission. He said it is most likely the interplanetary gear that is causing the problem. Its around a $350 fix and, nce repaired, he engine should spin all the way around no problem. I'm not guaranteeing anything but he's run into this issue before and seemed very confident.
