1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL

This car has been in our family since 1969 when my mom and dad gave it as a graduation present to my older brother. He gave it to me in 1972. It's the vehicle I drove to college, ommuted to my first job after I graduated, nd picked up my wife on our first date. Sometime in the 1980's my dad had the engine rebuilt, he interior redone and the exterior repainted. My oldest boy used it to take hisfirst serious girlfriend to the prom.However, t has sat in my garage for the last 10 years, ntil last year when I had my friend Bill Bickler, n experienced classic car mechanic, o completely through the vehicle replacing hoses etc. to make sure everything was "up to snuff." I've driven it occasionally and it still catches the eye of people on the street. Recently, he owner of a local women's clothing store used it in a photo shoot. That was fun -- and the occasion for the photographs which you see here.I love the car, ut I just don't use it much.
