Car description

1969 F100 2WD, hortbed. Ranger trim. Runs & drives, ut will need restoration.Family owned since 1987, e bought it from original owner in Missouri and driven back to Michigan.Originally it had a 240 c.i. 6-cylinder, nd I replaced it with a stock 302 2bbl. back around 1988 after rebuilding it and installing a new cam for a nice lumpy idle. Please NOTE: the cam is too big for the stock torque converter and gears, just put it in when I reassembled the engine in 1988 because I had it on a shelf for another project. Idle is rough but runs smooth once rolling down the road. The transmission was rebuilt several years ago, ith a shift kit installed, nd it works great.I used the factory Ford motor and frame mounts, long with V8 throttle linkage. Done properly and works correctly. The truck is then stock and OEM from the bellhousing back. The transmission is a C4 automatic, nd the rear axle is a 9-inch. Again, oth are stock and original to the truck. Rear gears are thought to be 3.70 in an open differential.I installed headers and short pipes/turbo mufflers back when I installed the V8.. The mufflers now old and are in need of replacement, ut will get you by for now.It starts, uns, rives ok, drive it from time to time around the lake or thru town, ut as stated it will need a restoration. Or drive it as-is or work on it while driving it. Up to you.Brakes are stock drum brakes front and rear, ot power-assisted. New master cylinder is in place. Will need some brake work as the left front is not working right.Radiator and cooling system ok. Power steering works good, nd drives straight. Stock original wheels and wheel covers. Battery and alternator are good. All lights and signals ok, as the factory cargo lamp in back. Speedometer works, auges work. Windows all good and has a sliding rear window. The mirrors are OEM, nd in good condition.Interior stock, eat is original and has a cover on it that was put on years ago but is worn. The body is in very good condition, ut it will need attention. The tailgate works fine, nd inside the box is solid. The floors are good. The drivers front cab mount, ottom of front fenders, oor corners and kick panel areas will need repair, ut nothing serious. Please see pictures. Has not seen winters since brought back from Missouri. The paint was done years ago but not in the stock colors. It has mostly sat since then, nd the surface rust and paint have added that "patina". I wanted to strip it and paint it, ut didn't get around to it.The doors open and close solid as new, hich is one of the best things about these trucks. Push them closed with a finger and they click shut. The original color was Reef Aqua and Wimbledon White, een in the doorjams and interior pictures. As far as the trim, oldings, hrome etc it is all there but if you want it good as new, hen this truck is not for you. PLEASE remember it is 46 years old. It is a great starting point for a beautiful truck, nd price reflects condition. It is a very complete and desirable truck, ith a straight and solid frame, he grille is great, nd would be a great project. All of the sheet metal, lass, rivetrain from the transmission back, nterior, tc is original to the truck.I do require a $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due immediately at end of auction. No exceptions. If you can not do this then PLEASE DON'T BID. Please do not bid if you plan to come to pick it up and pick it apart and try to talk the price down. Sold as-is, here-is. Once its sold, ts sold. NO EXCEPTIONS! I am being honest in my description of this 46 year-old truck. If you don't see the potential in this truck then please don't bid.If you are planning to drive it home then that is up to you, ut I would trailer it. It has been sitting for years and driven little. Please email me with any questions, ut again PLEASE read the entire description and remember it is an old truck. If you want a nicer truck, lease keep looking. It is not new or restored, t is not a show truck. What you see is what you get! Thanks for looking and good luck!
