K-code 1965 Mustang Fastback GT. I am the third owner of this rare and iconic Ford high performance machine. The second owner purchased it in 1969 in New York. That professional auto technician and his wife moved north of Washington, . C. in the early 1970's and the car was his daily driver. In 2000 the car was parked in their back yard. The gentleman passed away, he house was sold and I purchased the car in 2011. The car spent the last four years in my secure and dry garage but spent most of its life outdoors. I am not a "Ford guy" but from all outward appearances this is an original K-code Mustang. When I purchased the car the wife frequently stated that it was a "K-code"Mustang.Her husband taught her how to drive a stick shift in that car. The title, river's side fender flange number and metal buck plate all have matching vehicle identification numbers with a "K" in the middle of the VIN. The hand rotating 289 V8 engine has the proper 271 horse power high performance dual point distributor, arge harmonic balance, ast-iron exhaust headers and screw-in head rocker studs. Front disc brakes, arge brake master cylinder and larger diameter front anti-sway bar are also present. The steering column rally pack has an 8,000 rpm tachometer and the transmission is a manual four speed. There is no air conditioning and no power steering. Under the back seat area vertical floor pans there are two reinforcement metal tabs to secure the hipo exhaust system. Above the starter motor is an engine number of CFAE-6015E. The bell housing is aluminum. Near the water pumpon a small machined surfaceis a stamped number 5F2T. There is no VIN number stamped on the side of the engine. The transmission VIN number is present. The steering box tag identifies this as a factory original GT.Two rear quarter panels were replaced years ago. The two rocker panels and drive train tunnel appear solid. Included in this sale are two professionally refurbished original fenders, wo rear frame rails (surface rust), ood condition original hood, ll new floor pans (surface rust) and front floor supports. Boxes of misc. parts are included. The clear and clean Maryland title is in my name. The car is for sale locally and I retain the right to end this auction early. The winning bidder may pick up locally or will be responsible for arranging shipping and cover all costs associated with shipping. A non-refundable certified check of $1,000 will be due within 48 hours of the close of the auction. The balance of payment will be paid in cash and paid at the time of picking up the car. No warranty is implied and this car is sold "AS IS." I have tried to desribe as correctly as possible the history and current condition of this car. Payment and transportation arrangements are the BUYER'S responsibility. I assume no responsibility to any shipping company and any transportation arrangements are between the buyer and the carrier.
