Car description

*Super-Survivor *1966 Mustang convertible*unrestored*68K original miles*

Never thought I would sell this very special pony from my collection as you just do not find them like this often. But I have just been able to finally acquire an even more incredible 70 Boss 302 that I had been wanting for the last 15 years so this one is now going to be up for grabs. Since "A picture is worth a thousand words" I will let the over 200+ detailed photos of this fantastic survivor Mustang speak for themselves. Survivor vehicles of this caliber are few and seldom come up for sale. Only a very small percentage are convertibles. And of those only a minute percentage have desirable color combos and drive trains. That makes this one very rare and special '66 Mustang and sets it apart from the rest.

To date, his 1966 Mustang has only traveled 68K pampered miles from new. All the body panels are factory original. This Mustang has an amazingly straight body that is completely accident free and nearly as perfect as the day it rolled off the assembly line including most of its original paint. I would consider the paint on a scale from 1 (being poor) to 10 (perfection) at an 8.5 or higher. Remember, ts super original and un-restored so expect some patina and imperfections from age but nothing that significantly detracts from its overall beautiful looks and amazing condition for its age. I have taken pictures in varying light conditions to give you a good look at the paint and body and think you will agree it still looks amazing. The interior is original as well and is still excellent. The convertible boot cover is the original one and still has the factory part number visible on the backside as is the well liner. The dash is original and is perfect. Even the window felts are still original and in great shape. Only flaw worth mentioning to the interior is the driver seat bottom section has developed two cracks at seams simply due to aging. All the chrome and trim pieces all around including window and door handles are original and are in outstanding condition. The white convertible top has been replaced and is perfect. Since this Mustang never sees rain or even water from a hose (only damp cloths are used to wipe it off), he top is always kept retracted to keep it protected. The engine has never been apart or out of the car and runs like a Swiss watch. It is extremely smooth with plenty of power to make this a very spirited, imble, nd fun driver. The engine is very clean and some items like the valve covers, eat riser, nd visible frontal area have been touched up with blue paint for shows. The air cleaner still has the original paint and even the original "289" sticker on it. The brakes and steering are tight with no-play at all and it drives amazing. I would say it drives very much just like the day it left the showroom. Everything works including the factory original AM radio, ven the original electric windshield washer pump. The manual 4sp transmission works very smoothly whether up shifting or down shifting as well as reverse. This Mustang is in excellent mechanical condition. I would not hesitate to get in and drive it from California to New York. The trunk is in excellent condition too and still has the original rubber bottom mat and jacking instruction sticker on trunk lid along with the scissor jack and rare factory Ford ratchet style lug wrench. The undercarriage is in SUPER AMAZING condition and one of my favorite points of this Mustang. It absolutely proves beyond a doubt what a pampered life this vehicle has had and substantiates the super low miles. This Mustang was built at the San Jose plant in California and still retains its factory applied "red oxide" bottom sealer paint, andy Apple red over-spray, prayed black-out areas, tc with San Jose specific factory "yellow grease pencil" markings under the hood, n the frame rail sides, n the radiator support, n the bell housing, nd various paint dabs on the suspension parts etc. I have also included pictures of under the dash area. As you can see, ven the plated parts under the dash are still near new looking with the bare metal parts still looking shiny and free of even surface rust. This is an absolutely amazing un-restored Mustang in every aspect. I believe this vehicle represents one of the nicest un-restored '66 Mustang convertibles to be found to exist today. I feel I have priced it very fairly given its fantastic condition and the fact that un-restored cars are bringing a premium as they are an ever shrinking commodity while the demand only grows and originality can not be reproduced. If un-restored cars with their minor imperfections excite you over 100% flawless restored cars, hen you will love this Mustang. This Mustang has had some very tasteful factory available options added over time, ome of which are; steel rims and hub caps upgraded to factory styled wheels with correct Goodyear polyglas dual-red-line striped tires (including the spare), ingle exhaust system upgraded to factory Ford style dual exhaust system (not loud but very V-8 muscular sounding), tandard red steering wheel upgraded to factory style wood grain steering wheel, nd an upgraded heavy-duty four core radiator unit installed with correct style fan shroud added for function and safety.

TITLE:I have the clean and clear pink-slip/title in my name and possession. The Mustang is currently registered in CA until Sept of 2016 plus fully insured.
