Car description

You are looking at a VERY RAREVERY ORIGINAL and VERY COMPLETEFactory N-code 429-4V1970Ford Torino GTSportsroof optioned with a C-6 Automatic Transmission, ower Steering, ower Disc Brakes and Factory Air Conditioning!! This carwhile needinga full restoration, san extremelyworthy candidate with it's super desirable option list andit'sstunning original color combination!!

This is an ORIGINAL 1970 Torino GTthat has spent most of it'searly life out in West Texas cruising the streets of El Paso as a very cooland stylishBig Inch Muscle Cruiser! This car was a driver for many years in the Southwest Texasarea before heading east. Once it's days as aWest TexasCruiser were over; theTorinomade it's way to South Floridaand ended up being parkedas a someday project and forgotten about while waiting forthe nextTorinoenthusiast to come along and restore this car to its former glory!!

This car was aStock order atCasa Ford in El Paso Texas and ordered in the stunning B-code Dark Maroon Hue (also called Royal Maroon in 1969) withan eye catchingWhite Knitted Vinyl Bench SeatInterior.

This GT was furtherordered with the very strong optional 429-4V 360hp Thunder Jetengine,C-6 Automatic Transmission, nd a 9 inch 3.00 rear end!!!

This '70 TorinoGT Sportsroof waswell equipped and per the Deluxe Marti Report originally ordered as follows:429-4V 360HP Thunder Jet V-8 Engine C-6Automatic Transmission3.009 inch ConventionalRearDark Maroon Exterior PaintWhite Knitted VinylBench Seatwith Black AppointmentsG78-14 Belted WSW TiresVisibility GroupPower SteeringPower Disc BrakesAir ConditioningAM RadioDeluxe Belts/Warning LightDual Rear Seat SpeakersTinted GlassDeluxe Wheel coversThis Torino GT was ordered to stand out in the crowd with a VERY RARE (1 of 37 per the Marti Report) andEye Catching Dark Maroon exteriorwith a Super Cool White Bench Seat interior that just had to have madethis car absolutely POP when new!!The N-code 429 Thunder Jet 4 barrelengine is original to the car and has been sitting a very long time. I have not attempted to get it running, ut it is all there and original. It is pretty much all stock with its originalD0VE heads and its original 4V Intake, arburetor, irCleaner with Snorkeland Exhaust Manifoldswith the original heat shield still on it.The C-6 Transmission is intact and does not appear to have ever been out of the car.The bullet proof 3.00 geared 9 inchbrings up the rear andalso is original to the car.Thecar looks to have had one repaint over the original Dark Maroon paint and appears to have been just your typical respray from back in the day. It is sun faded now, ut some of the original Dark Maroon paint is peaking through in spots. The Body on the Torino whilenot perfectis actuallyfairly solid. The Fenders, oors, runkLid and 1/4's are all pretty decent on the car. However the hood will need to be replaced. The Frame Rails, ockers, tc. are all ROCK solid on this car. There is some rust in the battery apron from a leaking battery. There are some pinholes in the 1/4 panels, ut nothing too bad. The trunk drop on the drivers side is very good and the passenger side needs a little work. There is some rust in the trunk area; but nothing too bad. I have somenice rust free pieces from a donor car to repair this with. The Floor pans also have some rustedareas, ut they arenot terrible; they will need some sectioning, ut not full replacement. While certainly not perfect; nora rust free car by any means; the rust repair that does need to be done is cosmetic and not structural unlike so many of the projects you find from the North East and Rust Belt States. The many years this car spent in DRY West Texas helped to preserve the bones on this car so it could live to fight another day. The White Bench Seat Interior is all there andwhile not perfect the interior hasall good serviceable/restorable pieces. The Seats, teering Wheel, oor Panels, etc are good solid piecesto work with. The original AM radiois there although not connected. The dash is original and uncut. The AC components areall there, ntact and still sealed howeverthe belt has been removed. Please be realistic in your expectations of this car as a 45+ year old project car needing complete restoration to include rust repair, echanical work, nd cosmetic reconditioning.Overall this is a very complete and original Big Block Torino GT with its original born with drivetrain that is a solid restoration candidate. There are lots of picked over rusted out carcasses out there; but complete car such as this that are not rusted to death and missing a bunch of pieces do not come along very often. Especially one's with an option list like this one has!! If you have been looking for a Big Block Torino GT to restore then don't hesitate on this one; as is it may be sometime before another suitable restoration candidate such as this comes along again! Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I expect a deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and balance of payment within 7 days of auction end. This 1970 Ford TorinoGT is a 45+ year old project car and as such is being auctioned 'as-is where-is' and 'as-described' with no warranties either expressed or implied.
