1982 Fiat Spider Performance Custom

The interior has new full leather and numerous upgrades. Tub has no rust and was also cleaned and primed at time of install of new carpets and interior upgrades. Interior is immaculate and truly beautiful! Exterior is rust free and nearly flawless with no dings or significant scratches to mar its appearance. Paint was retouched and buffed as part of restoration. This vehicle has never been wrecked or had any body, frame or undercarriage damage of any kind. This Performance Spider has upgraded sport suspension, grill and all leather interior package. It is truly beautiful.

This car is not only ready to roll -it is a sporty blast to drive! All mechanical checks, repairs and updates are complete -including a very recent state inspection. With an upgraded cold-air intake, performance spark plugs and plug wires this is a very responsive sport machine. Upgraded Fiat valve covers with matching blue performance hoses, new aluminum radiator and reservoir, new timing belt and new water pump among many other replacement upgrades make for substantially improved reliability of this Spider. Very recent oil change with Mobile One synthetic and a new Bosch OEM filter. This Spider has been upgraded, pampered and most importantly is mechanically sound!

Competizone Monza Sport 15”x7.5” wheel package with Yokohama sport tires combined with Kona adjustable shocks and progressive rate lowering springs/bushings, big brake/rotor kit make for superb sport handling with excellent road manners. The red big brake kit with braided metal hoses adds an impressive sporty enhancement! Substantially upgraded from the original Fiat Spiders and different from other custom spiders, this Spider holds corners very well -it is truly a sports car. This Spider is currently equipped with a straight-pipe exhaust (in place of the OEM catalytic converter) in-line with a high-performance twin-tip Ansa muffler makes for a very sporty European exhaust "throaty growl”! A brand-new OEM catalytic converter in the box is included -it is easily swapped in place of the straight pipe to meet any strict state inspection requirements. This Performance Spider lives in Texas which does not have strict emissions standards for classic cars. New oil pan guard installed to protect the lowered stance of the car (pictured).

The chrome grill inset-mounted chrome classic-look halogen fog lights on the classic Pininfarina designed front-end creates striking similarities to the ultra-classic Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina. Fog lights are controlled with a chrome toggle switch mounted through the lower console for easy use and a classic look. Fog lights are very bright and work with running lights, low beams and high beams for maximum illumination while driving at night. Original headlights replaced with new Cibie H4 headlights for excellent illumination.

Upgraded 95 AMP High Performance Alternator and alternator harness provides ample power to new lighting upgrades, and superb sound system. Upgraded sound system includes Kenwood removable face plate deck, JL Audio 100-watt amp custom mounted in trunk, hands-free Bluetooth microphone mounted on steering column, custom mounted premium Focal 6.5” speakers and door-mounted Focal tweeters produce superb, crisp sound even with the top down on the highway. A phone call is as easy as pressing a single button on the deck and your call is crystal clear over the Focal speakers even at highway speeds. This Spider has all of the classic Italian body lines and features that catch the eye, as well as numerous modern upgrades for performance and safety.

Italia Tuscan Cognac full-grain top-coat premium treated automotive leather interior with beautiful top-stitched detail to the seats, door panels, shift boot and back seat. This premium leather is thick but very soft and supple to the touch and has a beautiful natural grain look and feel. Sample leather swatch available upon request. All new carpeting and Fiat emblem mats. A beautiful Competizone NRG wood steering wheel with inlay metal rivets and burled wood Fiat shift knob complement the original wood instrument panel and add to the classic look and feel. No cracks, fading or defects in original dash. New black center console, lower dash and door arm rests changed specifically to match to original black dash. New canvas cloth convertible top. With all the new upgrades and premium leather, the interior of this Spider even smells upgraded! The car also went through an arduous upgrading process, with over 100 man-hours of close inspection, updates, repairs, premium upgrades and improvements. This beautiful 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 is truly a turn-key experience of nostalgic pleasure!

Italian designed classic automobiles are literally rolling works of art. Every time I drive this beautiful Spider I get a “Wow, that’s nice!” or “What year is that?” or given a big smile and thumbs up. This Spider is priced less than the newly re-launched Fiat Spider which unfortunately has none of the original classic Italian body lines or original classic character.
