Car description

1988 Daytona - I acquired this car from an estate sale with the intention of fixing it up butunfortunatelyI do not have the time any more with other cars on my hands. The lady I got it from did drive it around. There was about 800 worth of brake work done on the car not too long ago. THE ODOMETER DOES NOT WORK!!! It stopped at 39728. The car was not driven a lot from what I was told. The owners did not leave the house much. I do not know how long ago the odometer stopped working. The car starts right up and sounds OK - no knocking. I have not driven it so I cannot speak for the transmission. The car was driven to my house and dropped off. Always female owned (except me).I do not know if any damage was repaired when it was repainted. I know it was repainted because you can see tape lines inside the door jambs. The body is not perfect - there is one small dent on the drivers side in the back (pic trying to point to it). There are some small spots on the roof that will need touching up looks like the paint wore through and there are small surface rust spots starting. The engine compartment is dirty but in good condition. Strut towers are not rusted no obvious signs of a collision radiator support is not rusted. Gas tank has rust on it. Gas tank door is painted odd - like the paint was uneven when they painted it over. The rear bumper is faded and weathered. It was hanging out of a carport while the rest of the car was always covered. Clearcoat on hatch is peeling. The doors are in good condition. The passenger door has very very minimal rust on the bottom. Driver door has a length of rust at the bottom about 10 inches long. It does not show from the outside. The metal is not flaking away it can be treated and saved.Small oil leak by front driver tireInterior is in good condition for an 88. There is that old car smell and the carpet needs a good cleaning (I think it can be brought back to life). The driver seat has a tear in the crotch area. Headliner is hanging and needs to be replaced. You can have it towed out of here or there is a DMV about 10 mins form my house. You can take the title once payment is in and register it and drive away.Rust by rear driver tire (relatively small)Rusted K-member please see pics.Undercarriage has minimal rust - pictures included to show spots.Needs shocks/struts.This is a 1988 car I make NO GUARANTEES on it. It is sold as-is and is described to the best of my ability. I am not a mechanic.Ask any questions you may have! I will do my best to answer them.
