Car description

1970 Dodge Challenger SE. nbsp; 318 Slapstick console automatic. nbsp; Ice cold AC. nbsp; Power steering. nbsp; Power Brakes. nbsp; Overhead console. nbsp; 121. 00 original miles. Original FJ5 Lime Lite SE Challenger. Runs and drives fantastic. Super smooth engine and transmission shifts perfect. Slap stick ratchets properly. Never wrecked. nbsp;all original body panels. No vibrations even at 90mph. This car has been in the Palm Springs. Palm Desert area since new. I am the 3rd owner. I have driven this car a good 1000 miles in the last two months and it drives awesome. Had it aligned but the bushings are going and it has some play in the steering box. Engine and trans are numbers match. The engine actually has two vin numbers stamped on it. From what I gather it was slated for another car but didn't pass inspection. You clearly see the other cars vin on the block it was originally going into. The engine was sent out for repairs and sent to another plant and reassigned another vin (this car) and installed. You can't clearly see all the vin for this challenger on the block but you can see part of the 1. most of the 9 and then very clearly the 885. 0E119885 is what you should see. I replaced the window hardware in the drivers door. All glass goes up and down perfectly and aligns up excellent. Doors close very nicely. Interior door panels are beautiful. Just the right rear door panel has some dry rot. New tires and brakes. New dash pad. nbsp;heater core. heater valve. headliner. SE leather seats. carpet and vinyl top. I pulled the dash completely apart and rebuilt the heater/ac box. All wiring in dash is perfect. Low fuel light. seat belt and door ajar lights work and function properly on the overhead console. I put in a new speaker but the radio just makes a buzzing sound. I suspect that the radio needs to be repaired. All gauges work perfectly. The clock does not work. New side marker light lenses. Installed new chrome mirrors as they were missing when I bought the car. The paint is so so. Been touched up over the years. Still has areas of original paint on the body. But could use a nice paint job. The trunk compartment. door jambs and engine bay are all original and show very well. Has a rust spot on the top of the right fender at the front. nbsp; both fender bottoms. Small bubbles on the RR 1/4 in front of the wheel well and small rust spots in the back of the 1/4s. Trunk floor has some rust under the mat. I brushed on some Por-15 and touched up with paint under the mat. The interior floors look brand new. Mint frame rails and rockers with only light surface rust and nothing is pittedComes with the original jack and crow bar. I do not have the base plate. wing nut and hook for the jack. Car originally came with hubcaps. The second owner put the 14inch rally wheels on the car when he bought it in 1977. This car also was raced in the Palm Spring Grand Prix around 1985. After that he put on a front sway bar. That had to be fun without one. The car is registered and insured. This car starts. runs and drives beautiful and the air blows very cold and has a great heater too. Please call or email me for any more questions.
