Car description

I'm selling my 1972 Dodge Tradesman B-100 Van... This one was born and raised in southern Californiais poweredfrom the factorywith the318 cubic inch engine andcame equipped with athreespeed manualtransmission and a column mounted shifter (3 on the tree) and a 2 barrel Carter carburetor...It has power steering and power disk brakes...

I've owned this van for almost ten years and it has always been a very reliable van and has given me many miles of trouble free service until last month whenI discovered thatcoolant was leaking into the oil... I assume that it may have a blown head gasket, but I haven't done any further diagnosis and do not know the exact cause of this malady... The van still starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops as designed but is now leaking coolant into the oil...

Over the years I've added several upgrades to improve performance and reliability including a three core aluminum radiatorand fiberglass flex fan...Replaced the stock points style distributer with a MOPAR performance electronic ignition distributer, dual exhaust, air shocks and locking gas cap... The interior enhancements include insulation, paneling, bed and carpeting... I also installed a tachometer, digital coolant temperature gauge, blue tooth stereo with am/fm/cd/dvd player with seven inch screen and four speakers...I also replaced the stock steering wheel with a customthree spoke 15" wheel and the horn to a trumpet style air horn...

The body is very straight with a few "whiskey" dents throughout with the worse being on the front right fender and drivers side door... The glass is all good and the windowsroll up and down as designed... The only bodywork that hasever been done was a rustrepair above the windshield on the passenger side...Over the years the"Tinworm" ate through the body on the right side rear quarter panel and left side on the bottom of the wheel well...

With the upgradedelectronic ignition this van always fired right up, had plenty of power andwould happilycruise all day long at 70 miles per hour or creep along climbing mountain roads that lead to my favorite camping spots averagingaround 20 miles per gallon...Included with thissale is a heavy duty custom made motorcycle rack that bolts directly to the frame, also thestock steering wheel, a completereplacement PC board for the dashand repair manual...

The gauges seem to have a mind of theirown andhave all malfunctioned over the years, so I always wrote down mymileage and tried to fill upevery two hundred miles with premium fuel... The tires will need to be replaced... It is currently registered until October... I'm sure that my low starting bid with no reserve will insure your satisfaction...Bid with confidence because you wont find a better deal on a solid SoCal van in this condition... The wining bidder will be responsible for shipping but I can assist with loading... If you like what you see, save me as your seller because I'm going to be listing several more vehicles in the near future... Please feel free to call Chip at (951) 551-7956with any questions or concerns...
